  • Publication number: 20240378814
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to criteria for adaptive remeshing in debonding simulations. For example, one or more embodiments described herein include a computer-implemented method comprising determining, by a processor, a released energy, a damage parameter value, or a contact status of a contact element included within a first mesh that represents a region of physical objects simulated by a cohesive zone model. The computer-implemented method can also comprise remeshing, by the processor, a finite element associated with the contact element to generate a second mesh to represent the region based on the released energy, the damage parameter value, or the contact status to obtain physical characteristics associated with a debonding of the physical objects.

  • Patent number: 12123640
Abstract: An interior compartment or container for a domestic refrigeration appliance has a side wall on which an elongate bearing rib for a bearing panel is integrated. The bearing rib extends in the depthwise direction of the interior compartment and extends over at least half the depth of the side wall. The bearing rib has an upper bearing side, which merges with the side wall by way of a first rounding and merges with an underside of the bearing rib by way of a second rounding, which is located opposite the first as seen in the widthwise direction. The underside merges at its lower end with the side wall. In a cross section of the bearing rib taken in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, a vertical-dimension ratio, measured in the heightwise direction, between an underside vertical dimension and an upper-side vertical dimension is between 3.5 and 4.5.

  • Patent number: 6673452
Abstract: The invention relates to the field of chemistry and to a fiber composite material which is used, for example, in aircraft. The invention provides a fiber composite material in which delamination can be significantly reduced. This is achieved by a fiber composite material with multiple layers, each containing a duromer matrix and reinforcing fibers, inner layers contain fibers featuring a high level of adhesion to the duromer matrix, outer layers contain fibers featuring a low level or no adhesion to duromer matrix. There is also provided a method in which the reinforcing fibers include a coating and the layers are structured in such a way that, on the interior of the fiber composite material, layers are arranged which contain fibers with a high level of adhesion to the duromer matrix and that outer layers which contain fibers with a lower or low level of adhesion, or no adhesion to the duromer matrix are arranged on and/or around these inner layers.
