  • Patent number: 10436246
Abstract: A bearing support includes at least one sliding bearing defined by the bearing support and/or at least one rolling-element bearing having an outer raceway defined by the bearing support. The bearing support is formed from a fiber-plastic composite and includes an integrally formed sliding surface of the sliding bearing and/or an integrally formed raceway for rolling elements of the rolling-element bearing, and the fiber-plastic composite includes a matrix into which spatially oriented sliding fibers, for example, PTFE fibers, are embedded in a region of the sliding surface of the sliding bearing and/or a region of the raceway of the rolling-element bearing.

  • Patent number: 10364839
Abstract: A bearing assembly is configured to rotatably support a first machine part in a second machine part and includes first and second rolling-element bearings. The rolling-element bearings are installed in the bearing assembly with an axial preload or an axial clearance. The second machine part includes a first conical abutment surface, and the first rolling-element bearing includes a bearing ring having a second conical abutment surface facing the first conical abutment surface of the second machine part. An intermediate ring is disposed between and abuts the first and second conical abutment surfaces. The bearing ring and the second machine part are metal, and the intermediate ring is formed from a material that has a higher coefficient of thermal expansion than that of the bearing ring and second machine part.
