  • Patent number: 7146537
Abstract: The present invention relates to a protocol test device including a network processor where the network processor has the following features: protocol levels of a protocol stack can be programmed in it for at least one protocol per software; it is capable of simultaneously processing input signals of different transmission formats, in particular of different clock rates; a plurality of channel ports for network subscribers in parallel architecture; and one standardized interface for a control unit; with the network processor being designed for in-stream operation, i.e. signals arriving at the ports for network subscribers can be redirected to at least one other port for network subscribers, if necessary after a pre-processing step. A host processor which has been programmed for performing protocol emulations and/or simulations is coupled to the network processor, with the signals of the network subscribers forwarded to the channel ports terminating in the protocol test device.

  • Patent number: 4615906
Abstract: A method for surface treatment of a substrate made of thermoplastic plastic is described, wherein the substrate is guided into the zone of a corona discharge flowing between two electrodes charged with high electrical voltage. The characterizing feature of the method comprises subjecting at least one surface of the substrate, simultaneously with corona treatment, to reactive ionized substances from the the liquid phase in the corona discharge zone.In addition, a device for working the method recited hereinabove is described, comprising a support surface and a high-voltage electrode, said electrode being connected to a high-voltage generator via a high-voltage cable. The characterizing features of the device comprise the high-voltage electrode being a shaped electrode open toward the supporting surface, which is filled with a liquid.

  • Patent number: 4116162
Abstract: Apparatus for coating moving web material includes an open trough containing a fluid coating agent over which a tensioned web to be coated travels. A pair of rotatable doctor rods are supported by the narrow edge areas of open channels across which the rods lie, the channels and the doctor rods extending widthwise parallel to the trough and adjacent each side thereof, with the rods forming upright extensions of the opposite sidewalls of the trough, so that the web contacts the rods sequentially as it traverses the trough. The rod on the far side of the trough relative to the moving web wipes the coating picked up from the trough by the web to desired thickness, and the channel support for the rod enables the rod to be wiped and cleaned by the narrow edge areas, which may be made from replaceable thin doctor strips that extend beyond the channel sidewalls.
