Patent number: 8590718Abstract: A coupling unit for a semi-permanent connection of two wagons of a rail vehicle, which has a first housing and a second housing, which is pivotably and rotatably coupled to the first housing. A bearing outer ring with a hollow spherical inner bearing surface is fastened to the second housing and is guided in sliding fashion on a bearing inner ring with a spherical outer surface. The bearing inner ring is seated with an inner bore on a shaft fastened to the first housing. The shaft has, on a first end, one or two flattened portions and, on a second end, one or two second flattened portions. At least one clamping piece is provided which bears against one of the flattened portions and an opening region in the first housing, thereby preventing the shaft from rotating.Type: GrantFiled: May 12, 2011Date of Patent: November 26, 2013Assignee: Schaeffler Technologies AG & Co. Patent number: 7832575Abstract: An articulated joint coupling (1) for rail vehicles comprises a coupling lug (3), which engages into a coupling fork (4), and a spherical bearing (2) in the coupling lug (3), with the spherical bearing (2) having an inner ring (5) with a convex surface (6) which is pivotably mounted in an outer ring (7) with a concave surface (8), and with the outer ring (7) being fastened in an opening (14) of the coupling lug (3). To fasten the outer ring (7) in the opening (14) of the coupling lug (3), both the outer ring (7) and also the coupling lug (3) have in each case one groove (15, 17), with a clamping ring (18) lying in the groove (17) of the outer ring (7) and simultaneously in the groove (15) of the coupling lug (3).Type: GrantFiled: February 28, 2007Date of Patent: November 16, 2010Assignee: Schaeffler KGInventor: Andreas Krome

Patent number: 7798345Abstract: An articulated coupling for rail vehicles is composed of a fork head having two fork pieces and of a coupling link. The coupling link accommodates a spherical joint which is traversed by a pin secured in the fork head. To fasten the pin in the fork piece, there is provided a wedge which is arranged in the axial direction of the pin and has a concavely curved surface adapted to the cylindrical curvature of the surface of the pin.Type: GrantFiled: July 4, 2007Date of Patent: September 21, 2010Assignee: Schaeffler KGInventor: Andreas Krome
