  • Patent number: 11685229
Abstract: An air flap structure for a motor vehicle air-conditioning module includes at least two air outlet openings, a shaft, and a drive. The at least two air outlet openings each have an assigned closure flap configured to close and open the assigned air outlet opening. The shaft has therein the closure flaps arranged and is configured to rotate therewith. The closure flaps are rotatable into a closed and an opened position by a rotational movement of the shaft. The drive is configured to drive the shaft and configured to generate the rotational movement thereof. With respect to imaginary planes at both ends of the shaft, perpendicular to the shaft, the drive is arranged outside the axially outwardly facing sides of said two imaginary planes. A driving force of the drive is introduced onto the shaft exclusively between two adjacent air outlet openings of the at least two air outlet openings.

  • Publication number: 20210260960
Abstract: An aeration flap is automatically controlled in a fully variable manner in a vehicle. A target value is read for a flap position or strength of an airflow of an aeration outlet. A plurality of configurations of aeration flap positions are provided wherein each configuration assigns a resultant noise level and a resultant energy demand for each combination of aeration flap positions. A weighting between noise level and energy demand is specified. Each of the read target values are adapted for a flap position or strength of an airflow according to the specified weighting. The development of noise in the vehicle may be influenced advantageously as a result.

  • Publication number: 20180236841
Abstract: An air-conditioning device for air-conditioning a passenger compartment is provided. The air-conditioning device includes a cooling element for cooling air, an air duct downstream of the cooling element for guiding the air, a heating element downstream of the air duct for warming the air, a mixing zone downstream of the heating element, and multiple air outlets for discharging multiple partial air streams from the mixing zone into different regions of the passenger compartment. An additional cold air bypass is formed which is guided past the heating element for supplying additional cold air downstream of the heating element. As a result, the air-conditioning device in operation is particularly efficient and simultaneously simple in design and particularly cost-effective. Furthermore, the invention provides a method for operating the air-conditioning device.

  • Patent number: 6094933
Abstract: An ice storage element (28) with at least one profiled body (29B) surrounded by an exterior wall (37) for forming at least one storage space (34) for an ice storage medium which can be brought into heat-exchange connection with a refrigerant. For more economical configuration of this ice storage element and improved heat transfer, at least one refrigerant pipe (30) is integrated into the profiled body (29B) and the profiled body is formed of a metal. The profiled body (29B) is preferably made as an extruded aluminum section with integrated inside ribs (33) and/or external ribs (31, 32).

  • Patent number: 5934092
Abstract: A device for cooling a motor vehicle interior (2) has a first refrigerant loop with a compressor (8), condenser (10), and at least a first evaporator (13). The device furthermore has a second refrigerant loop with at least one more evaporator which is joined to an ice reservoir to form a structural unit (17, 19, 21) and which can be connected in parallel to the first evaporator (13) by at least one valve (15). To enable simple and comfortable static climate control, the structural unit (17, 19, 21) is located as a flat element in at least one wall (4, 3, 5) of the motor vehicle interior and can be brought into a direct heat-transfer connection to the air of the motor vehicle interior.
