  • Publication number: 20160269907
Abstract: In order for making MTC more efficient and/or secure, a base station (20) forming a communication system connects a UE (10) to a core network. A node (50) serves as an entering point to the core network for a service provider, and transmits traffic between the service provider and the UE (10). The node (50) establishes, as a connection to the base station (20), a first connection for directly transceiving messages between the node (50) and the base station (20). Alternatively, the node (50) establishes a second connection for transparently transceiving the messages through a different node (30) that is placed within the core network and has established a different secure connection to the base station (20).

  • Patent number: 9407668
Abstract: A protection against an unsolicited communication for an IMS (PUCI) system includes a call session control function (CSCF), and a plurality of PUCE application servers. The PUCI application servers make an evaluation as to whether a communication received from the user equipment is an unsolicited communication; the CSCF makes a decision on routing toward the PUCI application servers based on the evaluation; then, the PUCI application servers execute the routing based on the decision.

Abstract: A heart assistance device for the pulsatile delivery of blood is provided that includes a first pump chamber, a second pump chamber, and a pump. Both pump chambers each have a fluid chamber and a blood-carrying chamber. By means of the pump, each fluid chamber can be filled with a fluid or emptied thereof in such a way that an expansion or contraction of the fluid chamber takes place. During the expansion of the fluid chamber of one pump chamber, a compression of the blood-carrying chamber of the same blood chamber takes place. • Patent number: 9225751
Abstract: A PUCI system is designed to process an incoming call originated by the user equipment toward the counterpart user equipment via an EMS node having a PUCI-light functionality, which includes an IBCF/I-CSCF, a S-CSCF, and a database storing the PUCI-light information. Through a query to the database indicating a suspicious session in relation to the incoming call, the IMS node immediately blocks the suspicious session or simply marks the suspicious session for the further processing at a subsequent node. The reason for rejection is included in a SIP BYE/ERROR message of an original session setup message, which is interpreted by a previous IMS node so as to obtain the relevant information from a SIP header. The relevant information is stored in either a global operator policy database or a local database, thus enabling a PUCI-negating IMS node to reject an unsolicited call related to the blocked session.

  • Patent number: 9084234
Abstract: A method for supporting a connection between a communication device and a destination device in a target network over intermediate network nodes, in particular in the context of Internet Protocol based communication, wherein data between the communication device and the destination device is transmitted via a tunnel established between the communication device or a base station connected to the communication device, as a first tunnel endpoint and a gateway in the target network as a second tunnel endpoint. One or more dummy packets are sent via the tunnel from the first tunnel endpoint towards the second tunnel endpoint, information is encoded in the packet headers of the one or more dummy packets, and at least one of the intermediate network nodes, upon receiving the one or more dummy packets, performs the steps of detecting and/or decoding the encoded information and performing a predefined action dependent on the encoded information.

  • Publication number: 20150143225
Abstract: Computer-implemented methods, media, and systems implemented to handling timer-based resizing events based on activity detection can trigger a start of a resize timer. The resize timer can periodically provide a notification to check for resize activity in a user interface displayed on a display device. In response to the notification, an absence of the resize activity can be determined after a threshold inactivity time period has expired from the start of the resize timer. In response, a stop of the resize timer can be triggered. After triggering the stop, a first resize activity associated with a first timestamp can be detected in the user interface. A restart of the resize timer from the first timestamp can be triggered to periodically provide the notification to check for resize activity in the user interface. Subsequent continuation or stopping of the resize timer can be based on further presence or absence of resize activity.

  • Publication number: 20140359527
Abstract: The disclosure generally describes computer-implemented methods, software, and systems for presenting list information. One method includes providing a series of controls for presentation representing a complete set of the elements, including first and last elements that are accessible without paging or scrolling to another screen. User input is received representing a traversal of the controls, including an uninterrupted selection of the controls. During the traversal and depending on a current position of the user input in relation to the controls, a position marker is displayed and continuously updated that identifies at least one element associated with a control at the current position. User input is received during the traversal indicating a selection of a particular control based on a termination of user input. The selection is based on a position relative to the series of controls. At least one particular element associated with the selected particular control is identified.

  • Publication number: 20140247830
Abstract: A method for supporting transport of data packets in a network, wherein the data packets are transmitted from a source node to a destination node by employing a tunnel from a first tunnel endpoint to a second tunnel endpoint, wherein a tunnel header is added to the data packets at the first tunnel endpoint, wherein the data packets are transmitted between the tunnel endpoints via a network domain that includes one or more intermediate nodes functioning as transport network, and wherein the intermediate nodes forward the data packets, is characterized in that the tunnel is provided in the form of a virtual tunnel by removing the tunnel header from the data packets where the data packets enter the network domain and adding back the tunnel header to the data packets where the data packets exit the network domain. A corresponding system for supporting transport of data packets is disclosed.

  • Patent number: 8660065
Abstract: A radio network allows a flexible distribution of data flows between a mobile station and a mobility anchor of the network over different interfaces. Data flows are routed between at least one mobile station and a mobility anchor of the network. The mobile station can connect to the mobility anchor using multiple network interfaces simultaneously, the radio network including an application function capable of processing and/or analyzing information about routing policies contained in a signalling received from a mobile station, which is able to push or signal the processed and/or analyzed information from the application function to an entity that can enforce routing policies to forward the data flows to one or more selected interfaces and which is able to signal routing policies received from the network to the mobile station. Further, an according method for operating a radio network, especially for routing data flows within the network, is disclosed.
