Patent number: 11676784Abstract: A vacuum interrupter includes at least one insulating body, a fixed contact, a fixed contact flange, a moving contact having a longitudinal axis of the moving contact, a moving contact flange, a moving contact bearing, and a bellows. The fixed contact is stationarily disposed in the fixed contact flange, the moving contact is moveably guided in the moving contact bearing and the moving contact is moveably secured to the moving contact flange by the bellows. The bellows is secured to the moving contact flange by a first bellows end and the bellows is secured to the moving contact by a second bellows end. An increased pressure resistance of the vacuum interrupter against ambient pressures over 1 bar is achieved by a sleeve which is secured to the moving contact against movements along the longitudinal axis of the moving contact, and which is guided through the moving contact bearing.Type: GrantFiled: November 20, 2018Date of Patent: June 13, 2023Assignee: Siemens Energy Global GmbH & Co. KGInventors: Lydia Baron, Frank Graskowski, Uwe Jahnke, Christian Stiehler, Andreas Lawall, Klaus Schachtschneider

Patent number: 11289292Abstract: A vacuum interrupter tube contains at least one insulating body, a fixed contact, a fixed contact flange, a moving contact having a longitudinal axis, a moving contact flange, and a bellows. The fixed contact is stationarily arranged in the fixed contact flange. The moving contact is moveably guided and the moving contact is moveably secured to the moving contact flange by the bellows. The bellows is secured to the moving contact flange by a first bellows end and the bellows is secured to the moving contact by a second bellows end. Therein the vacuum interrupter tube is protected against the deformation of at least one of the fixed contact flange and the moving contact flange due to an ambient pressure of the vacuum interrupter tube of over two bar by a stiffened fixed contact flange and/or a stiffened moving contact flange.Type: GrantFiled: November 20, 2018Date of Patent: March 29, 2022Assignee: Siemens Energy Global GmbH & Co. KGInventors: Lydia Baron, Frank Graskowski, Andreas Lawall, Christian Stiehler

Patent number: 10840044Abstract: A ceramic insulator for vacuum interrupters extends along a longitudinal extent and forms a cavity in said longitudinal extent. The cavity has a first opening on a first end of the longitudinal extent and a second opening on a second end of the longitudinal extent. The openings are designed so that they can be sealed in a gas-tight manner using appropriate connections. The sealed first opening is designed to guide at least one fixed contact into the cavity, and the sealed second opening is designed to guide at least one moving contact into the cavity. The ceramic insulator has, on an inner face of the cavity, one or multiple electrically conductive discharge path interrupters extending perpendicularly to the longitudinal extent of the ceramic insulator.Type: GrantFiled: July 13, 2017Date of Patent: November 17, 2020Assignee: Siemens AktiengesellschaftInventors: Frank Graskowski, Angelika Hartmann, Sylvio Kosse, Andreas Lawall

Patent number: 10418211Abstract: A switching contact, of a vacuum interrupter including support bodies, includes an additional support body which has the shape of a truncated cone or of a hollow truncated cone or of a partially hollow truncated cone. The additional support body is offset from a first location or region on the bottom of the contact carrier, located in the notional extension of the contact rod and inside the contact carrier, to a second location or region, located on the side of the contact plate facing the contact carrier and on the outer edge of the contact plate in relation to the first region.Type: GrantFiled: August 19, 2016Date of Patent: September 17, 2019Assignee: SIEMENS AKTIENGESELLSCHAFTInventors: Lydia Baron, Frank Graskowski, Uwe Jahnke, Andreas Lawall, Ulf Schuemann

Patent number: 9607781Abstract: A tap changer for uninterrupted switching between winding taps of a tapped transformer has first and second load branches for each phase to be switched. Each load branch has a main vacuum switch and in parallel thereto a series connection of a switch-over resistance and a respective auxiliary vacuum switch. First and second vacuum switching tubes each contain the main vacuum switch of the respective first and second load branches and the auxiliary vacuum switch of the other of the load branches.Type: GrantFiled: November 10, 2011Date of Patent: March 28, 2017Assignee: SIEMENS AKTIENGESELLSCHAFTInventors: Wolfgang Albrecht, Christian Hammer, Werner Hartmann, Silvio Kosse, Andreas Lawall, Roman Renz, Astrid Renz, Andreas Stelzer, Joerg Teichmann, Norbert Wenzel

Patent number: 9293273Abstract: The invention relates to a tap changer having vacuum interrupters for switching over between winding taps of a tapped transformer without interruption. The tap changer according to the invention having vacuum interrupters is based on the general idea of combining the functionalities of at least one conventional vacuum switching contact which switches under load and a further mechanical switching means according to the prior art in just one single vacuum interrupter with two separately moving contact systems.Type: GrantFiled: January 4, 2012Date of Patent: March 22, 2016Assignees: MASCHINENFABRIK REINHAUSEN GMBH, SIEMENS AGInventors: Wolfgang Albrecht, Christian Hammer, Christoph Heynen, Rainer Frotscher, Christian Kotz, Andreas Sachsenhauser, Christian Pircher, Werner Hartmann, Sylvio Kosse, Andreas Lawall, Astrid Renz, Roman Renz, Andreas Stelzer, Joerg Teichmann, Norbert Wenzel

Patent number: 8947188Abstract: The invention relates to a tap changer for the interruption-free switchover between winding taps of a tap-changing transformer. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a novel vacuum interrupter which is particularly suitable for such a tap changer. The tap changer according to the invention is based on the general concept of combining in each case one main contact (V1) and one mechanical switching means (U1), connected in series therewith, of a first load branch and an additional resistive contact (V3) of a second load branch in only a single vacuum interrupter (1) with a common housing (5).Type: GrantFiled: March 2, 2012Date of Patent: February 3, 2015Assignee: Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen GmbHInventors: Christian Hammer, Wolfgang Albrecht, Christian Pircher, Sebastian Rehkopf, Andreas Sachsenhauser, Konrad Raedlinger, Andreas Stelzer, Joerg Teichmann, Andreas Lawall, Sylvio Kosse, Werner Hartmann, Norbert Wenzel, Astrid Renz

Publication number: 20080314874Abstract: A vacuum interrupter has a tubular insulating body and a contact system with a moving contact and a fixed contact each connected to power supply bolts, which are passed out of the vacuum interrupter in a vacuum-tight manner. A control electrode is DC-connected to the fixed-contact power supply bolt. A damping shield, which is arranged on the insulating body, is conductive and overlaps the control electrode in an axial direction. The vacuum interrupter has good shielding properties while at the same time improving the dielectric insulation. The control electrode extends out in the form of a toroid in the region of overlap with the damping shield, the damping shield is drawn inwards so as to correspond to the toroid, and the fixed-contact power supply bolt is constricted so as to correspond to the contour of the damping shield and the constriction is fitted such that the drawn-in region of the damping shield extends around the constriction.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 12, 2005Publication date: December 25, 2008Applicant: SIEMENS AKTIENGESELLSCHAFTInventors: Andreas Lawall, Klaus Oberndorfer, Ulf Schumann
