  • Publication number: 20260297432
Abstract: A method for pyrolyzing a plastic, in particular a waste plastic, includes the steps of (a) pyrolyzing the plastic in a first pyrolysis reactor to obtain a first pyrolysis product, (b) separating a pyrolysis residue from the first pyrolysis product in a first separating unit, (c) separating the pyrolysis residue into a low-solid fraction and a high-solid fraction in a second separating unit, and (d) pyrolyzing the high-solid fraction in a second pyrolysis reactor to obtain a second pyrolysis product. A device for pyrolyzing a plastic uses the method.

  • Patent number: 12734531
Abstract: An apparatus and a process enable separating components of a multiphase hydrocarbon stream. The apparatus may include an outer vessel having a top end with a top outlet and a bottom end with a bottom outlet, with a longitudinal axis extending between the top end and the bottom end. An outer vessel body disposed between the top end and the bottom end has an outer vessel internal volume in fluid communication with the top outlet and the bottom outlet. The outer vessel body may include a first section with a tangential inlet arranged to introduce the multiphase hydrocarbon stream tangentially into the outer vessel internal volume to create a vortex flow, and a second section arranged closer to the bottom end than the first section. The outer vessel internal volume has a smaller cross-sectional circumference in the second section than in the first section.

  • Publication number: 20260234480
Abstract: A method for obtaining a wax from a pyrolysis residue includes providing the pyrolysis residue, where the pyrolysis residue includes the wax and a solid material, and where the solid material includes an inorganic salt, a ceramic raw material, an asphaltene, a tar and/or a coke. A solvent is added to the pyrolysis residue to obtain a high-solid mixture with the solid material and the solvent, where the wax is at least partially dissolved in the solvent, and at least a portion of the solid material is separated from the high-solid mixture to obtain a low-solid mixture. The method also includes separating at least a portion of the wax from the low-solid mixture. A device is described for obtaining a wax from a pyrolysis residue using the method.

  • Publication number: 20260218063
Abstract: A process for producing hydrocarbon products from plastics material includes (A) providing the plastics material, where the plastics materials comprises a triarylphosphite compound; (B) depolymerizing the plastics material at a temperature of at least 360° C. to generate a hydrocarbon stream; and (C) separating the hydrocarbon stream into a heavy product and a light product. The light product has a boiling range with a final boiling point between 360° C. and 430° C.
