  • Publication number: 20040147396
Abstract: The invention relates to novel inorganic absorbent composite consisting of an open-pore, solid, inorganic matrix, comprising cucurbiturils of general formula (I), which are chemically linked in the matrix. Said cucurbiturils form a macrocycle having a cage structure, consisting of n repeating units, wherein n is a whole number 5, 6, 7 or 8, R represents hydrogen or C1-C5 alkyl, and X represents O, S or N. X and R can be the same or different. Said composites are produced by reacting cucurbituril with an inorganic matrix-forming agent, such as silica gel, at 15 to 90° C. in a liquid medium. The inventive composites can be used as absorption materials and catalyst supports.

  • Patent number: 5786121
Abstract: A process is for producing electrophotographically active titanylphthalocyanine. In the process, which has an improved space-time yield, titanylphthalocyanine is dissolved in pentafluoropropionic acid and a solvent of the group comprising halogenated alkanes/aromatic compounds or halogenated alkanes/aromatic compounds and sulphonic acids. The active form is precipitated by precipitation with water in the presence of a further polar organic solvent. A mixture of pentafluoropropionic acid and methylene chloride and a mixture of p-toluene sulphonic acid and methane sulphonic acid are particularly suitable as solvents. The precipitated product processes very good electrophotographic properties.

  • Patent number: 4886627
Abstract: Conductive structures in polymers are obtained by a method in which poly(organylheteroacetylenes) of formula I ##STR1## or a mixture of poly(organylheteroacetylenes) of formula I and other polymers are exposed to radiation of high energy density, preferably laser radiation. At relatively low temperatures of 100.degree. C. to 600.degree. C., the polymer structure is effected so that electrically conductive structures result. The products are employed in electrical engineering, electronics and microelectronics, preferably as printed conductors. The invention makes it possible to inscribe long-term stable, conductive structures in an insulating polymer matrix in a one-step method, it being possible to use modern computer techniques (computer graphics)and to produce computer-aided conductor structures directly. The polymers can be used without supports or applied on rigid or flexible materials.
