Patent number: 11869713Abstract: Preventative function control in electromagnetic spring pressure brakes is disclosed. Initially, the spring pressure brake is controlled by voltage. Next, state variables current and voltage are measured. Subsequently, a determination variable is determined and summed over a first range, which extends from a starting point of actuation to a point at which an armature disk begins to move. At the point, current value is detected at which movement of the armature disk begins. The determination variable is summed over a second range, which extends from the starting point, when the current reaches the value detected above, up to a constant current. Subsequently, a ratio is calculated from the sum of the determination variable over the range to the sum of the determination variable over the first and second ranges. Upon reaching a predetermined value by the value of the ratio, a state signal is output.Type: GrantFiled: September 27, 2019Date of Patent: January 9, 2024Assignee: Chr. Mayr GmbH + Co. Patent number: 11580200Abstract: Systems and method for watermarking portions of code for the purposes of identification are described. A computer-implemented method of watermarking a portion of code with identification data includes: determining, by a computing device, a number of existing whitespace characters in the portion of code; encoding, by the computing device, the identification data using a set of reference whitespace characters; and embedding, by the computing device, the encoded identification data into the portion of code, wherein the embedding the encoded identification data includes, based on the determined number of existing whitespace characters, either replacing existing whitespace characters in the portion of code with the encoded identification data or inserting the encoded identification data characters into the portion of code.Type: GrantFiled: November 8, 2019Date of Patent: February 14, 2023Assignee: INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORPORATIONInventors: Adelina Balasa, Andrew S. Publication number: 20220025945Abstract: The invention relates to a method for preventive function control in an electromagnetic spring pressure brake for a simpler and more accurate determination of the critical operating state. The spring pressure brake comprises at least one coil, and an armature disk, a coil carrier having compression springs distributed thereon, a control module, and a monitoring module having at least one semiconductor component, a current measuring device, and a voltage measuring device, wherein the method comprises the following steps: Initially, the spring pressure brake is controlled by the control module by means of a voltage. Next, the state variables current (I) and voltage (U) at the electromagnetic spring pressure brake are measured by the monitoring module. Subsequently, a determination variable (T; F) of the electromagnetic spring pressure brake is determined by the monitoring module.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 27, 2019Publication date: January 27, 2022Applicant: Chr. Patent number: 11005912Abstract: Managing the timing of publication of new webpages and in particular new versions of existing webpages. New webpages are uploaded into a data repository for storing them before they are made available for access externally. A dependency processor is provided to process these new webpages to assess their readiness for publication by checking for dependencies on other webpages, the dependencies including a mutual dependency; locating any of the other webpages; and ascertaining whether each such dependency is satisfied. If dependencies are satisfied, then the new webpage is deemed ready for publication and is published. The satisfied dependencies include the content being accessible. In the case that the new webpage is a new version of an existing webpage, it replaces the old version. If dependencies are not satisfied, then the new webpage is held back until such time as they are met.Type: GrantFiled: August 27, 2019Date of Patent: May 11, 2021Assignee: INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORPORATIONInventors: Gary S. Patent number: 10693939Abstract: A first search request is received. Keywords of the first search request is identified. A request in a protocol for the first search request is transmitted to a web service. A response in the protocol for the first search request is received from the web service. Whether the first search quest is similar to a previously submitted search request, is determined. Responsive to determining that the first search request is similar to the previously submitted search request, the protocol response is modified to include contact information of a user that previously submitted the similar search request. The modified protocol response is transmitted to the client computer system from which the first search request originated.Type: GrantFiled: November 6, 2017Date of Patent: June 23, 2020Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Gary S. Patent number: 9924013Abstract: A method, and associated system, for determining an automatic action to be performed in response to an unsuccessful communication request. A first set of data, obtained from a first electronic communication device, is transmitted by the first electronic communication device to the computing system in response to a determination by the first electronic communication device that a called user of the first electronic communication device is unable or unwilling to accept a communication request from a calling user of a second electronic communication device. The first set of data is associated with the called user, the first electronic communication device, the second electronic communication device, or combinations thereof. A second set of data is obtained from the second electronic communication device and associated with the calling user, the second electronic communication device, or both. The action to be performed is determined based on the first and second sets of data.Type: GrantFiled: May 12, 2016Date of Patent: March 20, 2018Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Gary S.
