    Abstract: A ring rolling device for enlarging a ring blank includes a press element, a rotatably mounted mandrel and an advancing arrangement in which the mandrel is rotatably mounted with a first end part in a first rolling bearing and with a second end part in a second rolling bearing. The ring blank can be mounted around the mandrel. By means of the advancing arrangement, the mandrel is movable towards the press element and away from the latter again, wherein a roll gap which decreases in size, and in which the ring blank is rolled, is formed between the mandrel and the press element. The two rolling bearings are arranged axially fixed in the advancing arrangement, and the mandrel is mounted so as to be axially movable relative to these two rolling bearings.

    Abstract: In a transport method for transferring workpieces between a plurality of successive stations of a processing device, especially a forming device, workpieces are in each case transported from one station to the respective next station of the processing device simultaneously by means of a plurality of gripping tools which are movable jointly in a transport cycle. In the event of a process disturbance, the transport cycle is suspended and the gripping tools with the workpieces are moved into a waiting position in which the workpieces are outside the operating range of processing tools of the stations of the processing device. Once the process disturbance has been eliminated, the transport cycle of the workpieces is resumed. By virtue of the movement of the gripping tools into a safe waiting position outside the operating range of the processing tools of the stations, consequent damage resulting from the process disturbance can be prevented.

    Abstract: In a method for producing a ring-shaped formed part, by means of a forming device first of all a ring of smaller cross-sectional dimensions than the formed part being produced is formed from a blank in various forming stages. The ring is then expanded to the cross-sectional dimensions of the formed part being produced. The expansion of the ring is effected in an expansion stage of the forming device by means of a die and an expansion punch, where the ring is arranged in the die and the expansion punch is pressed into the ring in the axial direction and thereby expands the ring. The expansion of the ring is effected in two or more steps. In that way, excessive material stresses and any resulting material damage can be avoided.

    Abstract: In order to produce a formed part furnished with a through hole, a rod material is advanced by a defined length in the direction of its lengthwise extension into a forming die through a stationary guide and then immobilised by a clamping arrangement that engages with it circumferentially. The end portion of the rod material is then axially swaged by a swaging tool and is thus shaped into a disc, the circumference of which is defined by the forming die. The disc is then penetrated axially by a dishing tool and impact extruded at the same time, the displaced material flowing between the dishing tool and the inner circumferential wall of the forming die. The formed part located in the forming die is then rotated coaxially relative to the rest of the rod material and thereby separated from the rest of the rod material by torsion shearing.

    Abstract: To produce a molded part with a through-hole, a rod-shaped blank is pushed through a guide into a cavity and fixed in place. The end region of the blank is compressed and reshaped into a disk. A disk core having the same cross-sectional shape as the blank is ejected out of the disk using a punch and pushed into the guide and moved back together with the unshaped part of the blank. The disk is severed from the disk core and the molded part is removed from the cavity. During the penetration step, the disk present in the cavity is subjected to an axial pressure in the disk core ejection direction and the blank is subjected to an axial counter-force opposite to the disk core ejection direction.

    Abstract: A forming machine comprises a shearing device for shearing off a section of a bar stock, a forming station for forming the sheared off bar stock section and a transport device for the bar stock. The shearing device has two shearing blades, of which one is movable transverse to the longitudinal extension of the bar stock. The shearing blades each have an assembly block and a shearing insert attached to this. For one of the shearing blades, the shearing insert is made of a heat-resistant, break-proof and thermal shock-resistant hard material and essentially has the form of a cylindrical half-shell. This shearing insert is arranged in a reception recess of the assembly block, which is adapted in shape, and is releasably clamped to the assembly block by means of screwed clamping blocks.

Liquid can flow out of the pressure chamber (28) via a liquid outlet bore (24) and a liquid discharge line (23). By means of a throttle (25) arranged in the liquid discharge line (23) the outflow of liquid and therefore the repulsion of the extended ejector (7) by the forwardly moving press ram (1) are delayed in such a way that a workpiece (4) arranged between ejector (7) and press ram (1) is pre-upset and descaled outside the die (5).
