  • Patent number: 9840447
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for extracting hydrocarbon mixtures that have an increased proportion of hydrocarbons of a medium chain length (8 to 16 carbon atoms), or the corresponding pure compounds. Firstly, a starting material is provided that includes at least 50 wt. % unsaturated hydrocarbon compounds having oxygen. The compounds include olefin fragments of the formula —C1CxH2x—CH?CH—CyH2y+1 with at least 14 carbon atoms, carbon atom (C1) being saturated with substituted or unsubstituted heteroatoms and/or hydrogen. In a conversion reactor, this starting material is brought into contact with a porous catalyst based on carbon, in the absence of oxygen, and at a temperature of between 200 and 800° C.; and a product mixture that contains hydrocarbons is produced containing an increased proportion of hydrocarbons with medium chain lengths. Finally, the product mixture including hydrocarbons is collected and fed to a separating device in which a product separation is carried out.

  • Publication number: 20110237854
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for extracting gaseous hydrocarbons, in particular liquid gas and/or a gas mixture resembling natural gas or one or more components contained in liquid gas or in the gas mixture resembling natural gas. The starting material used contains oxygen-containing hydrocarbons. The method comprises the following steps: providing the starting material—contacting the starting material with a porous catalyst in the absence of oxygen at a temperature of 300-850° C. in a converting reactor, resulting in a hydrocarbon-containing product gas mixture, in which the proportion by weight of the gaseous hydrocarbons is greater than that of the liquid hydrocarbons, —collecting the hydrocarbon-containing product gas stream and supplying the product gas stream to a separating device, where product separation is performed.

  • Publication number: 20060064864
Abstract: A device and method for removing tooth applications such as brackets, wherein a force may be applied to the application via a transmission element for debonding the application from the tooth. The transmission element has an impulse conductor for receiving and transmitting an impulse, and an output surface for transmitting the impulse onto the application. Advantageously, the impulse is applied by an accelerated mass to an input surface of the transmission element. The mass is accelerated to a predetermined impact velocity by an acceleration device and impacts on the input surface so as to couple the impulse into the impulse conductor of the transmission element.
