  • Publication number: 20170189304
Abstract: Compositions including polycarbodiimide and derivatives thereof together with one of water soluble polyacid and poly carboxylic acid compounds and derivatives thereof to enhance the quality of the keratinous substrates. The present invention relates to a cosmetic treatment and process for treating keratinous materials, in particular for hair-care and hair-styling, where, according to the process, the polycarbodiimide and water soluble polyacid and poly carboxylic acid actives may be applied in a treatment that is a single step emulsion. The composition can include from about 0.2 to about 5.0%, by weight, of the composition of a combined amount of the polycarbodiimide and the polycarboxylic acid in amounts sufficient to impart hydrophobicity to keratinous substrates, including hair fibers, upon application thereto.

  • Publication number: 20170189314
Abstract: Treatment compositions including a polycarbodiimide together with a carboxysilicone polymer to enhance the quality of keratinous substrates. Treatment compositions and processes related thereto for treating keratinous substrates, in particular for hair-care, where, according to the process, the polycarbodiimide and carboxysilicone polymer actives may be applied in a treatment that is a single step emulsion or at least two sequential steps. The composition includes 0.5 to 40.0%, by weight, of the composition of a combined amount of the polycarbodiimide and the carboxysilicone polymer in amounts sufficient to impart hydrophobicity to keratinous substrates, including hair fibers, upon application thereto. It is in particular a treatment composition and process for imparting lasting protection and for improving damaged hair by enhancing the hair's hydrophobicity, thereby enhancing retention of curl, making the make hair easier to comb, and improving the feel thereof.

  • Publication number: 20160372093
Abstract: The present invention relates generally to the field of an anterior load carriage stability and mobility support system, and more particularly to marching band equipment and marching drum stability and mobility support belt for a marching drummer in K-12 primary or secondary, a collegiate, a drum and bugle corps or the like. A device capable of providing a support mechanism for the lumbar region of a user's back that allows for load distribution from loads placed anteriorly and inferiorly to the drummer's body. A preferred embodiment of the device includes a large piece and two smaller pieces of neoprene fabric, dual straps sewn along the sides of the belt, removable commercial grade closed cell foam sheets, and two plastic tubing for a sturdy structure with flexibility and versatility, and Velcro® sewn along the straps and on the obverse side of the belt for easy and secure attachment of the straps.

  • Publication number: 20160048294
Abstract: Direct access application representation techniques are described. In one or more implementations, a user interface is exposed by an operating system of a computing device. The user interface includes a concurrent display of a plurality of representations of applications that are selectable by a user to launch respective applications, at least one of the plurality of representations includes a concurrent display of a plurality of user-selectable targets for a respective application, and each of the plurality of user-selectable targets is selectable by a user to obtain direct access to a respective one of a plurality of application functionality of the respective application. Responsive to an input indicative of user selection of one of the plurality of user-selectable targets of the at least one representation of the respective application, the direct access is provided to the respective one of the plurality of application functionality of the respective application.
