Publication number: 20200309201Abstract: A disc pack coupling for torque transmission between shafts has coupling discs. A locking unit is provided that maintains a contact pressure acting on the coupling discs when the disc pack coupling is closed. The locking unit has a locking part, a guide part, an actuating element, and a pressure element. The guide part is non-rotatably and non-displaceably arranged in relation to a first shaft. The locking part has a locking part axis and is rotatable about and displaceable axially relative to the locking part axis. Locking part and guide part are provided with interacting control surfaces positioned at a slant to a rotational direction of the locking part. The control surfaces are provided to move the locking part into a first and a second stop position. In the first stop position, the locking part maintains the contact pressure on the coupling discs.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 24, 2020Publication date: October 1, 2020Inventors: Andreas Genesius, Marcus Teller, Wilhelm Wunder, Martin Eisele, Johannes Kern, Sascha Ott, Tobias Stürmlinger, Falk Nickel, David Pühringer, Hüseyin Gürbüz, Sven Roth, Jörgen Schulz

Publication number: 20200309218Abstract: An actuating device for a coupling/braking device is provided with at least one actuating piston that is axially slidable relative to a shaft and, in an actuating state, exerts an axially acting contact pressure on coupling/braking parts of the coupling/braking device. At least one control piston is provided that axially displaces the at least one actuating piston into the actuating position. A coating is provided in a contact region between the actuating piston and the control piston, wherein the coating is disposed at the actuating piston or at the control piston or at both the actuating piston and the control piston. The actuating piston can also be designed as a control piston that interacts immediately with the coupling/braking parts of the coupling/braking device.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 24, 2020Publication date: October 1, 2020Inventors: Falk Nickel, David Pühringer, Andreas Genesius, Wilhelm Wunder

Patent number: 10688276Abstract: The current document is directed to length-adjustable catheters and methods that employ length-adjustable catheters to treat malformations, constrictions, obstructions, lesions, and blockages within patients' blood vessels. The length of the shaft of a length-adjustable catheter, to which the current application is directed, can be adjusted over a range of lengths prior to and during medical procedures. In many implementations, length adjustment is accompanied by indications, to the medical provider, of the extent of a length adjustment. The indications may include one or more of visual markings, haptic feedback, radio-opaque markings, and/or other types of indications. In many implementations, the variable-length mechanism of the length-adjustable catheter is mechanically lockable following length adjustment.Type: GrantFiled: August 26, 2015Date of Patent: June 23, 2020Assignee: CTI Vascular AGInventors: Marc Gianotti, Michael Jetter, Martin Rickert, Dragana Gajic, Sabina Silva, Andreas Bodmer, Valentin Nickel, Ulf Fritz

Publication number: 20200107613Abstract: According to an embodiment, a component for attachment to an article includes an upper component that is made of a thermoplastic material having a first melting temperature and a flange member that is molded onto the upper component and made of a thermoplastic elastomer material having a second melting temperature that is lower than the first melting temperature of the upper component. The flange member extends laterally from a bottom end of the upper component so that a bottom surface of the flange member is flush with or positioned axially below a bottom surface of the upper component. The melting temperature of the thermoplastic elastomer material enables the flange member to be directly coupled to the article via heat welding and the like without substantially affecting the upper component.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 9, 2019Publication date: April 9, 2020Applicant: Boa Technology Inc.Inventors: Kristopher Lovett, Andrea Cavanagh, Robert Burns, Mark Soderberg, Mark Kerns, Michael Nickel, James Capra, Ilya Minkin, Brett Vladika, Sean Cavanagh, David Dickensheets
