  • Patent number: 7789262
Abstract: An element which is punched out in a cover shape for sealing of containers, includes two plies with at least one opening aid which is integrated within these plies, the ply (3) located in the direction of the container having a plastic layer which is provided with perforations or scoring. The layers of the sealing element are cemented by a peelable adhesive layer, the opening aid and the ply which has the plastic layer being free of adhesive in the area of its perforations or scoring. The sealing element enables not only facilitated sealing of food containers, such as microwave containers, since mutual displacement or slippage of the individual plies due to the adhesive layer is prevented, but that any type of penetration of adhesive into the food container, thus into the food, is prevented in any case by the peelability of the adhesive.

  • Patent number: 7740730
Abstract: A lid for closing containers includes an at least two-layered composite assembly. A layer facing the container seals against a container edge and forms an opening by layer separation, for removing contents. The layers have a continuous construction without weakening lines. The layer facing the container is made mainly of a plastic having an intrinsic tearing resistance being lower in the region of the opening than its adhesion to the layer facing away from the container in a remaining region and an adhesion to the container edge being greater at least in the region of an opening aid than to the other layer. The plastic adheres so strongly to the outer layer in the region of the opening that a region corresponding to the opening is torn out upon opening and a remaining layer of the lid facing the container continues to adhere to the container edge by sealing action.

  • Publication number: 20050218143
Abstract: An element (1) punched out in a cover shape, for sealing of containers (7), includes a first ply (2) and a second inner ply (3) which is provided with a heat-sealable layer (5) on its side facing the container. The plies (2, 3) are connected to one another over their surface sides (2?, 3?.) facing one another by a cold-sealing layer (4), the adhesion between the plies (2, 3) being lower than that between the inner ply (3) and the container edge (8). On the inner ply (3) there can be scoring (10) which is exposed by peeling off the outer ply (2). If for example packaged material which is suited for heating in a microwave oven is stored in the container (7), the steam which forms during heating can escape through the scoring (10).

  • Patent number: 5671882
Abstract: A piece of goods to be packaged is wrapped in a wrapping sheet of flexible packaging material made of two different layers or laminated composite materials. Two overlapping marginal areas of the packaging material are sealed or glued together to form the bottom of the package. The layer or laminated composite material that faces the packaged goods within the top marginal area of packaging material has one or several cut-outs, through which both overlapping marginal areas of packaging material are interconnected.
