  • Publication number: 20250257673
Abstract: A system for generating electricity or hydrogen from natural gas can be connected between a gas backbone pipe and a local gas distribution pipe. The system includes a thermal energy storage unit containing a thermal energy storage material heated by an energy source. The system also includes a heat exchanger in fluid communication with the thermal energy storage unit that receives a flow natural gas from the gas backbone pipe and a heated fluid from the thermal energy storage unit to heat the flow of natural gas. The system also includes an expander in fluid communication with the heat exchanger and that receives a flow of heated natural gas from the heat exchanger and to expand the flow of heated natural gas to cool it and reduce its pressure. A generator connected to the expander generates electricity from the expansion of the flow of heated natural gas by the expander.

  • Publication number: 20250260303
Abstract: A switch having an electronic trip unit and a power supply circuit for supplying energy to the electronic trip unit from a monitored circuit is provided. In the switch, the power supply circuit is formed by a linear regulator and a switching regulator. In this case, the linear regulator and the switching regulator are connected in parallel. The switching regulator has a Power Good output and the linear regulator has a Disable input, which are connected to one other. This arrangement requires little effort and, when a power supply is established, results in the output voltage being provided quickly by the linear regulator and the latter is then deactivated via the Disable input when the switching regulator, which operates with less loss, is able to provide the power supply. The switching regulator takes over the power supply automatically without any external additional elements or signalling.

  • Publication number: 20250259640
Abstract: Implementations of the subject technology provide systems and methods for providing audio source separation for audio input, such as for audio devices having limited power and/or computing resources. The subject technology may allow an audio device to leverage processing and/or power resources of a companion device that is communicatively coupled to the audio device. The companion device may identify a noise condition of the audio device, select a source separation model based on the noise condition, and provide the source separation model to the audio device. In this way, the audio device can provide audio source separation functionality using a relatively small footprint source separation model that is specific to the noise condition in which the audio device is operated.

  • Patent number: 12387432
Abstract: A body mesh to be collided with a cloth mesh are received, together with collider objects (that correspond to or approximate the body mesh) divided into cells. Polygons of the body mesh are projected onto the surface of the collider objects from a location within the collider object to identify cells of the collider object that overlap the projection of the polygons. A set of cloth features that collide with the collider object are projected onto the surface of the collider object to identify cells onto which the cloth features are projected. For each cell that includes a projection of a cloth feature, collision tests are performed between the cloth feature and the polygons whose projections also overlap the same cell. Using the collider object as an acceleration structure allows for cloth simulation to be performed while reducing collision tests for each cloth feature to a limited number of polygons.

  • Patent number: 12388481
Abstract: An electronic device may include wireless circuitry with a transmit antenna that transmits signals and a receive antenna that receives reflected signals. The wireless circuitry may detect a range between the device and an external object based on the transmitted signals and the reflected signals. When the range exceeds a first threshold, the wireless circuitry may use the transmitted signals and received signals to record background noise. When the range is less than a second threshold value, the wireless circuitry may detect the range based on the reflected signals and the recorded background noise. This may allow the range to be accurately measured within an ultra-short range domain even when the device is placed in different device cases, placed on different surfaces, etc.

  • Patent number: 12385190
Abstract: A tamping assembly for tamping sleepers of a track has a tamping unit with tamping tools. The tamping tools are located opposite one another, are mounted on a height-adjustable tool support, and, by way of drives, can be caused to vibrate and can be fed relative to each other. Each tamping tool includes a pivot lever, which can be rotated about a feed axis, and an inner and an outer tamping pick retainer. Each tamping pick retainer can be laterally pivoted relative to the pivot lever. The outer tamping pick retainer can be pivoted about a first pivot axis and the inner tamping pick retainer can be pivoted about a second pivot axis. The second pivot axis is arranged at an offset to the first pivot axis. Thus, it is no longer necessary to adjacently arrange elements for pivoting the tamping pick retainers.
