  • Patent number: 9897221
Abstract: A sealing element of a valve, e.g., a gas valve, for controlling a medium includes a base body having a sealing surface, the sealing surface either (i) being inclined in relation to a center axis of the sealing element or (ii) having at least one inclined area. In addition, a valve seat support of the valve for controlling a medium includes: a first ring-shaped valve seat in a first valve seat plane; a second ring-shaped valve seat in a second valve seat plane; and a passage aperture situated between the first valve seat and the second valve seat, the first and second valve seat planes being perpendicular to a center axis of the valve seat support.

  • Publication number: 20080047621
Abstract: In the check valve according to the invention, the wear on the valve closure member is reduced in that after the opening of the check valve, the closure member assumes a position that is spaced sufficiently apart from the valve seat. A region with a constant throttle gap is provided upstream of the throttle-reduction region.

  • Patent number: 7258135
Abstract: A pressure regulator for a fuel supply system of an internal combustion engine for regulating a fuel pressure, including a valve, having a valve ball forced against a valve seat into the closing position by the action of a valve leaf spring. With the valve open, at least some of the fuel flow that flows around the valve ball is deflected against an impact face coupled with the valve leaf spring for generating a flow force oriented counter to the closing force of the valve leaf spring. As a result, the pressure regulating performance of the pressure regulator is improved.

  • Patent number: 7258136
Abstract: A pressure regulator for regulating fuel pressure in an internal combustion engine, containing a valve including a closing member forced into a valve seat by the action of an angularly shaped valve leaf spring one arm of which is braced on the closing member and the other arm is braced on a support member of a regulator housing. In the region of its angled portion, the leaf spring is fixed on a pin supported in the regulator housing, and the bearing of the pin in the regulator housing contains side walls of the regulator housing that wrap around bearing bores in the valve leaf spring with parallel spacing and that extend substantially perpendicular to the pin. The side walls are overlapped at least in part by tabs that are connected to the support member of the regulator housing and are provided with bearing bores for the pin which are coaxial relative to the bearing bores in the side walls.

  • Patent number: 6983762
Abstract: The invention relates to a pressure regulator for a fuel delivery system of an internal combustion engine for regulating a fuel pressure, including a valve, which has a valve ball that is pressed against a valve seat in the closed position by the action of a valve leaf spring. A segment of a hemisphere of the valve ball oriented toward the valve leaf spring protrudes into a recess associated with the valve leaf spring. This improves the noise behavior and regulating behavior of the pressure regulator.
