  • Patent number: 10036437
Abstract: A disc brake for a vehicle, in particular for a commercial vehicle, is provided. The disc brake includes at least one application-side brake pad and a back-side brake pad held in a form-fitting manner in a brake carrier. At least the application-side brake pad is provided with at least one pad-retaining spring which is supported at least on one brake carrier horn of the brake carrier and exerts a radially outwardly acting tensile force on the brake pad.

  • Publication number: 20170138426
Abstract: A disc brake for a vehicle, in particular for a commercial vehicle, is provided. The disc brake includes a guide device that increases the guide length of the brake caliper by applying spring-loaded tensile force to an application-side brake pad form-fitting in a supporting brake carrier and compressive force to a back-side brake pad. A corresponding set of brake pads is provided.

  • Publication number: 20170138425
Abstract: A disc brake for a vehicle, in particular for a commercial vehicle, includes a brake carrier which receives at least two brake pads in respective clamping side and rear side pad slots, with the at least one brake pad on the clamping side being held in its pad slot in a form-fitting manner. The at least one brake pad on the clamping side is provided with at least one pad retaining spring which is supported at least on a brake carrier horn of the pad slot of the brake carrier. The at least one clamping spring exerts a tensile force acting radially outward on the brake pad. A brake pad set for the disc brake is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20100044168
Abstract: The invention relates to a disc brake, in particular for commercial vehicles, comprising a brake disc (2), a brake caliper (1), a pneumatically acting operating cylinder (3) which has an operating device (8), an applying device (5) which has a rotating lever (7) and a camshaft (6) running parallel to a brake disc plane (6) and at least one brake lining (4). On activating the operating cylinder, the operating device presses the brake lining against the brake disc by means of the rotating lever and the camshaft. According to the invention, a frictional damping device (13, 20) is provided outside the force path of application, which influences the resonant behaviour of the brake.
