  • Publication number: 20190385389
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for checking a display unit for a vehicle, wherein the display unit comprises a display matrix that has numerous pixels that can be backlit, and a detector unit for detecting light reflected by pixels when they are backlit. A gear step signal that represents a current gear step of the vehicle is input. The pixels are then actuated using the gear step signal, to display at least one test image on the display unit. The detector unit is read in response to the actuation in order to obtain at least one test signal assigned to the test image. This is then evaluated in order to check the functional operability of the display unit.

  • Publication number: 20190385561
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for operating a display using a monitoring device, wherein the display contains a display matrix that has a row driver device, and a column driver device, wherein the row driver device and the column driver device each have at least one test connection connected to the monitoring device. The method includes an actuation step wherein the row driver device is actuated using row data cycles, and the column driver device is actuated using column data cycles, wherein a test signal is provided via the test connections that changes with each data cycle that is displayed. In a monitoring step, the monitoring device monitors the test signals and issues an error message if the content of at least one of the test signals remains the same for more than a predefined number of data cycles.

  • Patent number: 10184559
Abstract: A device for selecting an operating mode of a transmission of a vehicle is presented. The device has a control panel thereby, having at least one selector switch for selecting an operating mode, and one release switch for enabling a function of the at least one selector switch. The release switch has a touch sensitive button, serving as a first interface to a sensor circuit for enabling the function of the at least one selector switch. The sensor circuit has a second interface on an actuator for a driving function of the vehicle thereby. The sensor circuit can be closed by producing an electrically conductive connection between the first interface and the second interface via a driver region of an interior space of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 9644732
Abstract: A sensor device having at least one sensor element, such as a Hall sensor element, and at least one magnet element that can move in relation to the sensor element. The sensor element has a number of differently magnetized regions. The sensor element is configured to issue a sensor signal, which represents a condition defined by a magnetization of a region of the magnet element located in the measurement range of the sensor element. The sensor element determines the condition by means of one of at least three pre-defined sensor signal values.

  • Patent number: 8485059
Abstract: The invention relates to an actuation device for a shift-by-wire-actuated gearshift transmission. It includes a shifter base and an actuating element pivotally supported in a bearing location of the shifter base. The actuation device further includes at least one actuator for blocking the actuation element. Here, the actuator, in addition to its blocking function, is configured for generating mechanical vibrations or oscillations. A tactile feedback for the user of the actuation device with low design complexity is provided for flexible, tactile signaling of switching processes or locked actuation positions of a selection lever. Existing actuation devices can potentially be upgraded for tactile feedback purely by software-side changes.

  • Patent number: 8362764
Abstract: A measuring device for determining the strength of magnet fields using a Hall probe and a method for evaluating the function of a Hall sensor. The measuring device comprises a sensor having a Hall probe and an electric diagnosis conductor which is galvanically isolated from the Hall probe. The measuring device being able to continually monitor the sensor. In particular, the sensor can not only be checked qualitatively in regard to function or failure, but also quantitatively in regard to correct calibration such that, if necessary, an immediate correction or re-calibration of the sensor can be performed. In particular, measuring errors for instance, due to a temperature drift or because of mechanical stress of the sensor, can easily be eliminated.
