  • Patent number: 8333332
Abstract: A spray head (1) with a nozzle insert (2) for atomizing a fluid, which tends to gum up or harden, from a reservoir, wherein the nozzle insert (2) is substantially designed as a hollow cylinder (3) that is open on one side and has, on the other side, a nozzle opening (4) towards the outside, and the nozzle insert (2) is connected to a nozzle insert receptacle (5), which has a channel (6) for the fluid, wherein the channel (6) corresponds to the nozzle opening (4). The nozzle insert (2) consists of an elastic material (7) and, in this manner, is connected to the nozzle insert receptacle (5) so that an external, free section (8) of the nozzle insert (2) along with the nozzle opening (4) is at least partially manually compressible and/or is designed to be manually bendable from its standby position (R), whereby hardened resin residue (12) can be removed from the nozzle opening (4).

  • Publication number: 20060273116
Abstract: A container (1) including a valve (2) serves to discharge a product located in container (1), particularly a hair care product provided with a propellant. Container (1) shows a circumferential sleeve (3) at its top. A valve disk (4) grips under the sleeve (3) with its skirt (5) and encloses a passage (6). A sealing device (8) seals the valve disk (4) with respect to the sleeve (3). To prevent that the sleeve (3) is deformed towards the interior if the container (1), which is made of plastic, heats up, a circumferential ring (9) is put into the gap between the sleeve (3) and the valve (2).

  • Patent number: 6253970
Abstract: The aerosol container has a container neck (1); a valve disk (5) arranged in the container neck at least partially sealed to its interior wall (12); a valve device (6) secured in the valve disk for dispensing product from an interior space (11); a circumferential sealing element (3) arranged between a facing or top surface (4) of the container neck and a peripheral edge portion (7) of the valve disk; at least one weakly sealed section (10) provided in the container neck (1) near the sealing element (3) and at least one channel (13) provided in interior wall (12) of the container neck (1), extending to the sealing element (3) from the interior space (11) and reaching or ending at the at least one weakly sealed section (10); whereby product can escapes when a pressure in the interior space exceeds a predetermined limiting value. In a preferred embodiment four channels (13) for venting product and four weakly sealed sections are provided spaced 90° from each other around the container neck.

  • Patent number: 6149077
Abstract: The apparatus (1) for dispensing a sprayable product from an aerosol container includes a tube section (5) axially slidably mounted in a spray head (5). The spray head (3) has a feed passage (15), a connecting passage (14) and two nozzles (10,11 ) provided one above the other in the operating direction of the spray head (3), preferably oriented at an angle of 12.degree. to each other. By depressing the spray head the tube section (3) is moved downward in order to open a valve (7) in the aerosol container (2), whereby product can travel from the aerosol container (2) into the spray head (3) and from there into only the lower nozzle (1). By subsequently depressing the spray head (3) further downward against the force of a spring (6) the connecting passage (14) is moved upward relative to the spray head (3) in order to connect both nozzles (10, 11) with the feed passage (15). In that way either a single spray stream or two overlapping spray streams can be produced according to choice.
