  • Publication number: 20120222711
Abstract: A dishwasher includes a washing container, and an upper basket located in an upper region of the washing container for accommodating items to be washed. The upper basket has a floor wall and a side wall that circumferentially bounds the floor wall and projects upward. The upper basket has a static first partial region and a second partial region that is movable relative to the first partial region between at least two positions, with the second partial region forming in the at least two positions at least one section of the floor wall. The section assumes different heights relative to a part of the floor wall of the first partial region in the at least two positions, wherein the section assumes for at least one of the at least two positions a height above a height of the part of the floor wall of the first partial region.

  • Publication number: 20120042908
Abstract: A dishwasher, especially a household dishwasher, includes a control device, in which at least one wash program for carrying out a wash cycle comprising a number of part wash cycles for cleaning and/or drying items to be washed is stored, and an operating device for entering operating commands for the control device. At least one operating command for carrying out one or more adaptation measures on at least one of the wash programs can be input at the operating device to improve avoidance of spots on the items to be washed and/or the drying result on the washed items, when the wash cycle based on the adapted wash program is carried out.

  • Publication number: 20110232702
Abstract: In a method for pumping a fluid out of an aquiferous household device such as a dishwashing machine, a drain pump and a circulation pump are operated at least partially simultaneously to ensure that, in the event of an abrupt stop of the circulation pump, reverse flow that may cause filter cake formed by separating soiling and particles to loosen resulting in their re-soiling of the items to be cleaned. The speed of the circulation pump is lowered from a maximum speed to at least a minimum speed substantially without pressure surges before startup of the drain pump.

  • Publication number: 20110197926
Abstract: In a method for operating a dishwasher containing wash items, in particular a household dishwasher, at least at times a heated liquid to the wash items is applied during at least two of a plurality of program steps. A desorption process for desorption of a reversibly dehydratable drying material of a sorption drying system is effected at least at times. The desorption process is carried out at least partially before or during a first of the at least two program steps, with heated liquid being applied to the wash items during the at least two program steps.

  • Publication number: 20110132409
Abstract: A method for operating a dishwasher is provided. A heated fluid is at least periodically applied to items to be washed that are supported in an interior of the dishwasher. In order to heat the fluid, air is first conducted through a drying material suitable for exothermic drying. Thereafter, the air, together with the heated fluid driven out of the drying material, is conducted through an outlet opening through which the air, together with the heated fluid driven out of the drying material, enters the interior of the dishwasher. The outlet opening is cooled.
