  • Patent number: 12385223
Abstract: A method of controlling an electric drivetrain of a work machine, the method including determining whether a brake pedal actuation has occurred with an actuation distance greater than an actuation distance threshold value for an actuation duration longer than an actuation duration threshold value. The method further includes determining whether no drive torque maintaining condition exists, based on a determination that the brake pedal actuation occurred with the actuation distance greater than the actuation distance threshold value for the actuation duration longer than the actuation duration threshold value. The method further includes generating a control signal for the electric drivetrain to disable a torque generation by the electric drivetrain based on a determination that no drive torque maintaining condition exists.

  • Publication number: 20250003192
Abstract: A method for operating a drive train of an electrically driven working machine having a control device that controls the drive train, including receiving and evaluating, via the control device, input commands from a vehicle computer via one respective CAN interface, wherein the input commands include at least a current brake status, a current pedal position, a current gearshift lever position and one of a plurality of predefined dynamic classes stored in the control device. The method further includes mapping an individual speed curve over time, and driving the drive train depending on the one dynamic class that is transmitted to the control device and selected via a respective input command of the input commands.

  • Publication number: 20240140427
Abstract: A method for stopping undesired continuation in a current direction of travel of a work machine, wherein the work machine has an electrical machine for propulsion of the work machine, the method including detecting a desired direction of travel of a driver of the work machine. The method further includes detecting a state variable of the work machine that correlates with an actual direction of travel of the work machine determining, on the basis of the detected desired direction of travel and the detected state variable, whether the electrical machine is in a safety-critical state, and, if it has been determined that the electrical machine is in the safety-critical state, sending a signal to the electrical machine to convert the electrical machine into a state not suitable for propulsion.

  • Publication number: 20240140461
Abstract: A method for preventing an unintentional start of a work-performing machine, wherein the work-performing machine includes an electric machine for propelling the work-performing machine, the method including checking whether there is a driving request from a driver of the work-performing machine and detecting information relating to an operating mode of the electric machine. The method further includes determining, based on the checking in relation to the driving request and the detected operating mode of the electric machine, whether the electric machine is in a safety-critical state and, if it is determined that the electric machine is in the safety-critical state, sending a signal to the electric machine to transition the electric machine to a state not suitable for propulsion.

  • Publication number: 20230212838
Abstract: A method for operating an electric drivetrain of a working machine is provided wherein the drivetrain comprises a work drive with an electric work motor and a travel drive with an electric travel motor and vehicle wheels, wherein the working machine experiences a speed deceleration from the outside that may result in a braking force acting on the vehicle wheels lower than a driving force acting on the vehicle wheels due to a moment of inertia of the travel motor. The method includes supplying the travel motor with a power in a direction opposite to an operating direction of the travel motor in order to reduce a rotational speed of the travel motor, if it is detected in advance using a situation detection that the braking force acting on the vehicle wheels as a result of the speed deceleration is lower than the driving force acting on the vehicle wheels.
