  • Patent number: 8253411
Abstract: A configuration of a pair of inductor coils within a local measuring range which can comprise a position range or an angle range. For the coil configuration, a nominal distance to a damping part is predefined which comprises an eddy current damping part which covers the coils, to a certain degree. In the evaluation circuit, the coils are connected to a capacitor, forming an oscillator part, whose inductance and capacitance determine a resonant frequency. The characteristic curve, oscillator frequency as a function of the position or the angle is linear. The rectangular inductors of the pair of coils overlap within the measuring range. The linear characteristic curves have a common point of rotation, outside of the measuring range, which is independent from interferences by the measuring configuration.

  • Publication number: 20100186718
Abstract: A method is described for operating an injector, in particular an injector of an injection system of an internal combustion engine, the injector including a piezoelectric actuator that is connected to a valve needle via a coupling element, an electric voltage being applied to the piezoelectric actuator, resulting in an increase and/or decrease in the length of the piezoelectric actuator, a holding voltage being applied to the piezoelectric actuator when the injector is closed. The voltage of the piezoelectric actuator is brought to the holding voltage by a recharge sequence.

  • Publication number: 20070005745
Abstract: A computer system and computer program product executing a method for consistent and efficient management of program configuration and customizing data for a business application program. According to one method, an existing or newly created version of a global switch configuration is provided in a cache shared by one or more other programs. The cached switch configuration provides a configuration for a switch framework that governs access to one or more program functions of a business application. The cached switch configuration is then attached to the business application to provide an attached version of the switch configuration. Compatibility between the attached version of the switch configuration and the business application is determined. If compatibility exists, the business application program is executed in accordance with the attached version of the switch configuration.

  • Publication number: 20060248545
Abstract: A method and system for executing calls and return calls using client interfaces for packages. In one embodiment, a service at a service package is called using a client interface at a client package. The return call is then made on object using the client interface at the client package as performed by the service at the service package.

  • Publication number: 20060248544
Abstract: A method and system for employing client interfaces for packages. In one embodiment, an access object associated with a service provided by a first package is located, where the service is seeking to access content residing at a second package. A client interface is then created at the second package using the access object. The client interface is used to provide access to the content by exposing the content to the service via the client interface.

  • Publication number: 20060026583
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for configuring and executing complex software. The complex software may include code corresponding to a core layer and code corresponding to at least one of a plurality of industry extensions. A method for configuring software is provided that includes presenting at least one business set for selection by the user. The method further includes receiving a selection of at least one business set from the user, and receiving a selection of functions from the user based on the selected business set. The method further includes determining whether the selection of functions by the user is valid, and activating switches to enable software elements corresponding to the selected functions, if the user selection of the functions is determined to be valid.
