    Abstract: A table for processing component attributes is provided. The table consists of cells, which form a matrix of columns and rows is provided. Each row is assigned to one component and contains information relating to the component. Each column is assigned to an attribute and contains attribute information. A first attribute is assigned to a first column, where the first attribute comprises a set of values, where the set includes all values of the first attribute for all components, where the method includes inserting a first value from the set of the first attribute into a first cell of a first row and column, and where the first value relates to the component assigned to the first row. The method also includes inserting a second value from the set of the first attribute into the first cell, where the second value relates to the component assigned to the first row.

    Abstract: A method for producing an elongated article with a sheath. The sheath is extruded with a predetermined wall thickness in an extrusion unit. Following the extrusion unit in a feeding direction, a part of the still moldable material is built up with the aid of a molding unit during a molding process such that a molded part forms integrally on the sheath. The molding unit is moved according to the following working cycle: the molding unit is accelerated from a starting position in the feeding direction, then it is advanced in the direction of the elongated article and the molded part is formed, the molding unit is withdrawn from the elongated article, and the molding unit is decelerated and moved from an end position, counter to the feeding direction, back in the direction of the starting position.

    Abstract: In a known method, a quartz glass component is produced for a UV radiation source by melting SiO2-containing grain. Starting therefrom, to indicate an inexpensive method by means of which a quartz glass component is obtained that is characterized by high radiation resistance, it is suggested according to the invention that synthetically produced quartz crystals are molten to obtain a pre-product which consists of quartz glass containing hydroxyl groups in a number greater than the number of SiH groups, and that for the elimination of SiH groups the pre-product is subjected to an annealing treatment at a temperature of at least 850° C., whereby the quartz glass component is obtained. In the quartz glass component of the invention, the quartz glass is molten from synthetically produced quartz crystals, and it has a content of SiH groups of less than 5×1017 molecules/cm3.
