  • Patent number: 9431878
Abstract: An electric machine has a base body with a stator, a rotor shaft mounted in the base body, and a heat exchanger. Cooling ducts for a liquid cooling medium are arranged in the base body. The rotor shaft is embodied as a hollow shaft through which the liquid cooling medium can flow. The heat exchanger dissipates heat contained in the liquid cooling medium to the surroundings of the electric machine. The heat exchanger, the rotor shaft and the cooling ducts are fluidically connected in series, producing a closed circuit for the liquid medium. A feed element is arranged to co-rotate with the rotor shaft. The feed element is inserted in the closed circuit for the liquid cooling medium to forcibly circulate the liquid cooling medium in the closed circuit as the rotor shaft for the liquid cooling medium rotates.

  • Publication number: 20160205537
Abstract: A memory, such as a SIM card, is configured for use in a mobile appliance equipped to communicate through a wireless network. The configuration is started after a trigger 410, such as first use of the memory. Next, an identifier is retrieved 420 which is associated with the memory. The mobile appliance is used to provide 430 the identifier to a server via the wireless network. In the server, the identifier is used to retrieve 440 associated configuration data for configuring the mobile appliance to operate in the wireless network in a network-specific and/or provider-specific manner. The configuration data is provided 450 from the server to the mobile appliance via the wireless network. Finally, the configuration data is stored 460 in the memory.

  • Patent number: 8417953
Abstract: A method and system for restricted service access is described. To access adult content, the user has to enter an administrator personal identification number into a mobile device. Upon receipt of the administrator personal identification number, an access code is generated, which is provided to a content provider. The content provider can calculate a valid time window and/or request an acknowledge message from a central server. If the current usage is within the valid time window or otherwise verified, access to the content is allowed. Thus, children are prevented from accessing adult content, while adult access is permitted.

  • Publication number: 20130085687
Abstract: A method and a device for determining the flow rate of magnetic or ferromagnetic particles in a suspension that flows through control chambers are provided. The magnetic flux F1 is measured as a function of time t using a measuring coil that surrounds a first control chamber, the magnetic flux representing a measurement, at a particular time, of the quantity of magnetic particles contained in the suspension. In a second control chamber, at a predetermined distance d from the first control chamber, the magnetic flux F2 is measured as a function of time t using a second measuring coil that surrounds the second control chamber and the measurements F1 (t) and F2 (t) are compared to produce a temporal distance ?t which is used together with the predetermined distance d to calculate the flow rate. The method and device can be used, for example, in an ore mining installation.

  • Patent number: 8146259
Abstract: A rotary encoder includes a stator and a rotor, the rotor being disposed in a manner allowing rotation relative to the stator with the aid of a bearing. The rotor has a shaft, a positive-locking device as well as a code disk being secured in rotatably fixed manner to the shaft. The stator has a body having a scanning device for scanning the code disk, a compensating coupling and a housing. The body is joined to the housing by the compensating coupling. The housing has a further positive-locking device, the rotary encoder being pre-adjusted such that in operation of the rotary encoder, at a predefined relative angular position between the positive-locking device of the shaft and the further positive-locking device of the housing, a predefined angle value is able to be output by the rotary encoder. A series of rotary encoders may be provided.
