Patent number: 8829938Abstract: A measuring method and device for characterizing a semiconductor component (1) having a pn junction and a measuring surface, which has a contacting subarea, covered by a metallization. The method including: A. Planar application of electromagnetic excitation radiation onto the measuring area of the semiconductor component (1) for separating charge carrier pairs in the semiconductor component (1), and B. spatially resolved measurement of electromagnetic radiation originating from the semiconductor component (1) using a detection unit. In one step A, a predetermined excitation subarea of the measuring surface has a predetermined intensity of the excitation radiation and at least one sink subarea of the measuring surface has an intensity of the excitation radiation which is less than the intensity applied to the excitation subarea. The excitation and sink subareas are disposed on opposite sides of said contacting subarea and adjoin it and/or entirely or partially overlap it.Type: GrantFiled: February 23, 2009Date of Patent: September 9, 2014Assignees: Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft zur Föderung der angewandten Forschung e.V., Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel, Albert-Ludwigs-Universität FrieburgInventors: Jürgen Carstensen, Andreas Schütt, Helmut Föll, Wilhelm Warta, Martin Kasemann

Publication number: 20110012636Abstract: A measuring method for characterizing a semiconductor component (1) having at least one pn junction and a measuring surface, which is the front and/or rear of the semiconductor component and which has at least one contacting subarea, which is covered by a metallization or is intended for coverage by a metallization, The method includes the following steps: A. Planar application of electromagnetic excitation radiation onto the measuring area of the semiconductor component (1) for separating charge carrier pairs in the semiconductor component (1), and B. spatially resolved measurement of electromagnetic radiation originating from the semiconductor component (1) using at least one detection unit.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 23, 2009Publication date: January 20, 2011Applicants: FRAUNHOFER-GESELLSCHAFT ZUR FORDERUNG DER ANGEWANDTEN FORSCHUNG E.V., CHRISTIAN-ALBRECHTS-UNIVERSITAT ZU KIEL, ALBERT-LUDWIGS-UNIVERSITAT FREIBURGInventors: Jurgen Carstensen, Andreas Schutt, Helmut Foll, Wilhelm Warta, Martin Kasemann

Publication number: 20040173275Abstract: A flexible press cover which has an additional strengthening element in at least one of its two end regions. As a result, in the end region, the tensile strength and the tensile rigidity in the circumferential direction are increased with respect to that hitherto known in such a way that it is no longer necessary to clamp the press cover end region in between two components. Instead, the press cover according to the present invention is suitable to be fixed to the outer circumferential surface of a rotatable supporting element belonging to the cover carrying disk without the aid of an outer ring, a clamping band, clamping filament or the like. In the most beneficial case, the arrangement for fixing the press cover to the aforementioned supporting element is completely free of any kind of fixing elements which would be associated with the cover outer surface.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 5, 2004Publication date: September 9, 2004Inventors: Uwe Matuschczyk, Andreas Meschenmoser, Joachim Grabscheid, Andreas Schutte

Patent number: 5794173Abstract: In optimization of combinatory optimization problems, it is possible to perform deterministic as well as more or less randomized searches. A new allocation matrix is generated, based on a more or less coincidentally selected, but valid allocation matrix. A check is made thereafter whether it constitutes a better solution than the old allocation matrix. If this is the case, this matrix is used as the new starting point for the further search. If this is not the case, the old allocation matrix is kept as the starting point for the further search. This process is continued until the time made available for the solution has expired, or until it is determined by the method itself that no better solution can be found in the course of the instantaneously realized search.Type: GrantFiled: October 27, 1995Date of Patent: August 11, 1998Assignee: Daimler-Benz AktiengesellschaftInventor: Andreas Schutte

Patent number: 5223100Abstract: An extended nip press for the dewatering of a fiber web has an endless flexible press element, like a press jacket or press belt. A press shoe has a concave slide surface for the flexible press element, and the slide surface is adapted to the curve of a backing roll. The shoe is displaceable toward the backing roll in order to press the pressing element against it. A stationary shoe bed, which is detachably connected to a stationary support, has a depression which is provided with a packing and receives the press shoe to form a pressure chamber so that the shoe bed and the press shoe form a cylinder-piston unit. The press shoe is coupled to the shoe bed by means of at least one connecting element. The connecting element is spring biased with respect to the shoe bed and may itself be flexible or be flexibly moved to permit the radial displacement as well as the tilting of the press shoe relative to the shoe bed.Type: GrantFiled: April 16, 1992Date of Patent: June 29, 1993Assignee: J. M. Voith GmbHInventors: Christian Schiel, Andreas Schutte, Thomas Zufle

Patent number: 4944089Abstract: A press roll for a web includes a support body which is either stationary or rotatable and a press shell which is rotatable over the support body and against a mating roll. A respective shell support element or disc is disposed axially outward of both ends of the support body and the support element has an axially outward, face side. The flexible, liquid impervious endless belt press shell has lateral edge zones. Each edge zone has a respective plurality of outwardly projecting tongues and has cutouts between neighboring tongues. The edge zone is turned radially inward and its tongues are each respectively mounted on a holding element projecting from the face side of the shell support element. Centering elements also ono the face side of the shell support element are placed each for extending into and contacting the base of the cutouts between neighboring tongues for positioning the tongues.Type: GrantFiled: October 30, 1989Date of Patent: July 31, 1990Assignee: J. M. Voith GmbHInventors: Hans Flamig, Andreas Schutte, Christian Schiel, Karl Steiner, Josef Mullner

Patent number: 4923570Abstract: A long nip press roll for removing water from a traveling fiber web. A rigid support beam has at least one recess in its periphery for receiving a radially movable hydraulically operated press shoe. A flexible tubular press shell is wrapped around the support beam and the press shoe. The concave outer surface of the press shoe presses the press shell against a backing roll for pressing upon a fiber web against a felt belt passing through the nip. The press shell has a smooth outer surface in contact with the web. At its outlet side from the press nip, the press shoe has a convexly curved guide surface over which the press shell and the paper web travel together and that guide surface is also wrapped for a distance by the felt belt. This separates the web from the felt belt and the web travels around on the press shell. A ledge inside the press shell and/or a removal roll at the outside of the press shell separate the web from the outside of the press shell.Type: GrantFiled: March 2, 1989Date of Patent: May 8, 1990Assignee: J. M. Voith GmbHInventors: Karl Steiner, Andreas Schutte, Hans Flamig

Patent number: 4919761Abstract: A long nip press roll includes a stationary support member and a flexible, tubular, inflatable press shell which is supported to rotate around the support member by axially separated support discs rotatable around the support member. A radially displaceable press shoe is supported on the support member for pressing outward against the press shell against a counter roll in the press plane. To enable the press roll to be used in a press where it is disposed either beneath or above the counter roll, all of the internal lines in the support member, e.g. those for the supply and discharge of pressure oil, lubricant and cooling oil and press shell pressurizing air, include two sets of coupling for coupling them to external lines, a respective set of the couplings being located at each axial end of the press roll. During assembly, one of the sets of couplings at one end is connected to external lines, and the other set of couplings is closed.Type: GrantFiled: September 22, 1989Date of Patent: April 24, 1990Assignee: J.
