  • Publication number: 20230115794
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing an aerogel using a sol-gel process, in which first a lyogel is formed from at least two precursor sols and the lyogel is then converted to an aerogel.
    Type: Application
    Filed: May 11, 2021
    Publication date: April 13, 2023
Inventors: Damian HINTEMANN, Nils MÖLDERS, Manfred RENNER, Andreas SENGESPEICK, Eckhard WEIDNER
  • Patent number: 11505713
Abstract: The present invention relates to a composite material, in particular a switchable functional material, comprising (a) a porous carrier material and a swellable material, a method for its preparation and its use in coatings. The composite material is suitable for the production of water-repellent and water-vapor diffusion-open coatings, as well as the use of the composite material.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 20, 2018
Date of Patent: November 22, 2022
    Inventor: Andreas Sengespeick
  • Publication number: 20220009786
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing an aerogel under increased pressure, to the aerogel obtained using said method and to their use.
    Type: Application
    Filed: November 6, 2019
    Publication date: January 13, 2022
Inventors: Damian HINTEMANN, Andreas KILZER, Nils MÖLDERS, Manfred RENNER, Andreas SENGESPEICK, Eckhard WEIDNER, Oliver WEISHAUPT
  • Patent number: 10947605
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for hydrophobising leather, comprising the steps: providing tanned, at least partly dried leather whose content of free water is in the range of from 0 to 25 wt. %, based on the weight of the dried leather, treating the leather with a mixture of compressed gas and a hydrophobising agent at a pressure of at least 30 bar in a pressure vessel, and relieving the pressure of the pressure vessel to ambient pressure. By using the method according to the invention it is possible to obtain leather which is hydrophobised at the surface, as well as thick and firm, deeply hydrophobised leather, as is used, for example, for shoe soles.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 12, 2017
Date of Patent: March 16, 2021
Assignee: FRAUNHOFER-GESELLSCHAFT ZUR FORDERUNG DER ANGEWAND
