  • Patent number: 11099109
Abstract: A fixative for the preservation of organic tissue and cell aggregates, comprising a hydrophilic denaturant for structural change of the molecules of the organic tissue, a lipophobic solvent, in which said denaturant is dissolved, and an amphiphilic infiltration agent which is dissolved in the solvent for dissolving fats on the surface of the biological tissue in order to accelerate a penetration of the denaturant into the biological tissue.

  • Patent number: 10955230
Abstract: A device (2) for pulling a cartridge case (4) in a pulling direction (10) out of an axial bore of a die (6) which, as seen from the axial bore, comprises a male thread (20) on the outside to hold the die (6) in a reloading press is provided. The device (2) comprises: a support plate (12) for holding the die (6) aligned with its axial bore in the pulling direction 10) and secured against a movement in the pulling direction (10) in a die bore (18) a lifting plate (14) arranged at a distance (16) before the support plate (12) as seen in the pulling direction (10), comprising a pulling element (24) with retaining members aligned against the pulling direction (10), wherein the retaining members are arranged in such a way to hold the cartridge case (4) at an end of the pulling element (24) opposite the lifting plate (14), and drive members (32, 34) for driving the support plate (12) and the lifting plate (14) apart in and/or against the pulling direction (10).

  • Publication number: 20210078017
Abstract: A stool sample evaluation flotation agent comprising at least 0.01 mol/kg of a first compound which, in a dissolved state, releases anions by a buffer effect to generate and stabilize a neutral pH environment having a pH between 6.0 and 8.0. A method of stool sample examination involving separating endoparasites from a stool sample, the method comprising mixing the stool sample with a flotation agent comprising at least 0.01 mol/kg of a first compound which, in a dissolved state, releases anions by a buffer effect to generate and stabilize a neutral pH environment having a pH between 6.0 and 8.

  • Patent number: 7915007
Abstract: A fixative for fixing biological materials contains a depot agent, preferably a polyamine and especially hexamethylenetetramine, which reacts chemically with positively charged ions, especially H+ from an acid, while forming a fixative, where the fixative is an aldehyde and especially formaldehyde, which in turn reacts chemically with the biological material to be fixed in order to fix it and is consumed in doing so. By adjusting the pH of a solution containing the depot agent, a chemical equilibrium reaction occurs between the depot agent, fixative and biological material, so that just as much fixative is continuously formed as can be immediately consumed by the biological material. With that, the fixative, and especially the hazardous formaldehyde, cannot escape. Thus, an externally formaldehyde-free fixative that at the same time has the excellent fixative properties of formaldehyde is created.

  • Patent number: 5104533
Abstract: A filtration unit, especially for medical, microbiological, biochemical, immunological or molecular biology specimens. The filtration unit includes a specimen-receiving vessel (12), a filtrate vessel (16) and a filter member (22) containing a filter element (24, 26) arranged between the specimen-receiving vessel and filtrate vessel. In order to obtain an automatic pressure compensation in a closed system the filtrate vessel inner space (28) is connected with the specimen-receiving vessel inner space (30) by at least one pressure compensation channel (50) bypassing the filtration liquid (48). The pressure compensation channel extends axially along a side wall of the specimen-receiving vessel and connects a first discharge point in the filtrate vessel inner space above the maximum filtrate level with a second discharge point in the specimen-receiving vessel inner space above the maximum filtration fluid level while bypassing the filtration unit.
