    Abstract: A yaw-rate sensor is proposed having a first and a second Coriolis element (100, 200) which are arranged side-by-side above a surface (1) of a substrate. The Coriolis elements (100, 200) are induced to oscillate parallel to a first axis. Due to a Coriolis force, the Coriolis elements (100, 200) are deflected in a second axis which is perpendicular to the first axis. The first and second Coriolis elements (100, 200) are coupled by a spring (52) which is designed to be yielding in the first and in the second axis. Thus, the frequencies of the oscillations in the two axes are developed differently for the in-phase and antiphase oscillation.

The viscosimetric affinity sensor according to this invention is characterized by the spatial or temporal separation of analyte diffusion from the measurement of the flow resistance for such sensitive liquid flowing through a capillary, needle-like body or other liquid conductor, which integrated combination of a dialysis chamber with viscosimeter enables a researcher to make measurements under lab conditions that provide spatial separation of the dialysis process from the rheological analysis, as done under test conditions where the maximum shear rate of sensitive liquid in the viscosity sensor is at least twice that shear rate of sensitive liquid experienced in the dialysis chamber.

The silicone emulsion has a viscosity of 10,000 to 120,000 mPa s and exhibits pseudo plastic rheology which facilitates its application by spraying. A softening agent may also be added for modulus control.
