  • Publication number: 20240068567
Abstract: A metal seal for a flat face fluid coupling includes an annular seal body and a retainer having a fixed end fixed to the seal body, a free end spaced from the seal body, and an intermediate portion extending between the free end and the fixed end. The retainer is configured to engage a wall of the fluid coupling with a retaining force for securing the seal to the fluid coupling. The seal body has opposite first and second flat annular sealing surfaces, and a radially outer annular angled portion that is inclined relative to the annular sealing surface. The angled portion is configured to enhance stiffness around a circumference of the seal body, and is configured to engage a face of the fluid coupling to generate a moment of force about the retainer for enhancing the retaining force acting against the wall of the fluid coupling.

  • Patent number: 6641180
Abstract: A screw connection including a sealing ring, a connecting piece, and a union nut for assembling a tube connector. The sealing ring has a nut side portion with an annular reinforcement on its outer face, a narrow ring portion, a ring surface with transfer elements arranged on its annular face located at the transition between the narrow ring portion and the nut side portion, and at least one cutting edge on its interior surface. The annular face having an inclination between 45° and 90° relative to the longitudinal axis of the tube connection. The connecting piece has an end face located at a first axial end and a conical bore disposed within. When fully assembled, the narrow ring portion is positioned with said conical bore, contacts the connecting piece, and transfers a negative image of the transfer elements on the ring surface onto the connecting piece end face.

  • Publication number: 20030173773
Abstract: A hydraulic or pneumatic assembly tool with an electronic microprocessor control unit for preparatory manufacture or preassembly of tube or hose connectors. The tool includes a hydraulic or pneumatic drive unit, a function indicator and a hydraulic or pneumatic piston with a tool carrier for the insertion of different workpiece tools. The workpiece tools are selectable according to the workpieces to be machined. The equipment parameters of the workpiece tools, each having certain workpieces to be machined allocated to them, can be transmitted to the microprocessor control unit of the assembly tool. The data of the equipment parameters of each workpiece tool are each transmitted to a transponder system of the control unit by laser radiation or electromagnetic radiation.
