Patent number: 11951525Abstract: For producing a welded ring, a band of a length corresponding to the circumference of the ring is bent into a ring and its two ends are welded together. The band ends to be welded together have an offset in the circumferential direction of the ring, the offset lying in the plane of the band. The welding is performed from both lateral edges of the ring, from the outside to the inside up to the offset. Welding having an overall improved welding quality and a higher tensile strength is thus obtained.Type: GrantFiled: March 9, 2017Date of Patent: April 9, 2024Assignee: OETIKER SCHWEIZ AGInventors: Stefan Miessmer, Andreas Vetter

Patent number: 11940073Abstract: The hose clamp described herein consists of a clamping band (10) with overlapping band sections in the closed state of the hose clamp, on which hooks (12, 19) are arranged for closing the hose clamp, and with a tightening device (15) arranged in the outer band section for tightening the hose clamp around an object to be clamped. The hooks (12, 19) are stamped out from the clamping band under cold working and each have a lug (21, 25). In the closed state of the hose clamp, the lug (21) of a hook (12) arranged on the inner band section and the lug (25) of a hook (19) arranged on the outer band section engage over each other, and the force is transmitted via transverse surfaces (27, 32) of the hooks (12, 19) that are in contact with each other.Type: GrantFiled: November 27, 2019Date of Patent: March 26, 2024Inventors: Markus Widrig, Andreas Vetter, Maxime Bösiger

Publication number: 20230338191Abstract: An ophthalmic laser surgical system for treating an eye includes a laser device, one or more cameras, and a computer. The eye has anatomical features, including the cornea with the anterior corneal surface. The laser device directs a laser beam towards the eye. A camera generates images of the anatomical features, including the anterior corneal surface. The computer facilitates docking a patient interface onto the eye by accessing eye information describing the eye. The eye information comprises an eye model describing the anatomical features. The computer determines from the eye model the predicted corneal surface position when the eye is aligned to dock the patient interface onto the eye. The computer detects from the images the actual corneal surface position prior to docking the patient interface onto the eye, and compares the predicted corneal surface position with the actual corneal surface position to detect misalignment.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 14, 2023Publication date: October 26, 2023Inventors: Johannes Lörner, Peter Riedel, Stefan Schmid, Andreas Vetter

Patent number: 5153139Abstract: Measurements of acids in air can be greatly falsified by the content of carbon dioxide in the air in spite of the low solubility of carbon dioxide in water and its low dissociation constant. When the measurements are made after a simple absorption of the acid residues in the air in an absorption solution. The air separated from the absorption solution on its way to measurement is cleaned of carbon dioxide by exposure to silica gel and soda-lime and then is used to clean the absorption solution of carbon dioxide in a similar exposure of air to the liquid. The measurement of the acidity of the solution thus cleaned of carbon dioxide provides reliable measurements of strong acid residues in air and can be carried out on a continuous basis.Type: GrantFiled: March 5, 1991Date of Patent: October 6, 1992Assignee: Forschungszentrum Julich GmbHInventors: Andreas Volz-Thomas, Andreas Vetter, Stefan Gilge, Dieter Kley
