  • Patent number: 10151603
Abstract: The explosion-proof housing for a sensor, in particular, for a rotary encoder having a shaft rotatably situated in the rotary encoder and axially aligned to detect a rotary angle, having a flameproof interior vis-a-vis the atmosphere, in which at least one sensor part is situated, and an at least two-part, approximately cylindrical overall housing is made up of a cover having a cable inlet, which is releasably coupled to a possibly multi-part housing by a plurality of fastening screws distributed around the circumference, and the contacting fastening planes of the cover and housing are designed as explosion-proof ex-joints, and at least the fastening screws between the cover and the possibly multi-piece housing create the separation between the flameproof interior and the atmosphere by forming ex-joints.

  • Patent number: 8797048
Abstract: A capacitive rotation sensor for detecting the position of an object moving relative to a stationary object, comprising a shaft rotatably supported in a housing flange, said shaft being connected integral in rotation therewith to a rotor to which, separated by an air gap, a stator situated opposite thereto is assigned, wherein at least the rotor, the stator and an evaluation circuit are enclosed by an electrically conductive cap, wherein a stator surface is arranged on the underside of a circuit board and the stator surface has assigned thereto, situated opposite thereto and separated by the air gap, a non-rotation-symmetrical rotor disc which, in turn, is fixed on a rotor support, said rotor support being fastened highly precisely on the outer periphery of the shaft so as to be integral in rotation therewith.

  • Patent number: 7667187
Abstract: The invention is concerned with a hollow-shaft encoder with a motor-shaft protective cap, wherein the connection between the motor-shaft protective cap and hollow-shaft encoder is accomplished by means of repeatedly releasable and connectable frictional and/or a form-fitting connection via a relative movement between the motor-shaft protective cap and hollow-shaft encoder. The hollow-shaft encoder incorporates all electrical and mechanical components for the pick-up and output of the measuring signals and no electrical or mechanical components for the pick-up and output of the measuring signals are fixed on the motor-shaft protective cap. The hollow-shaft encoder with the motor-shaft protective cap is more cost effective and simpler in its design, production, assembly, warehousing, maintenance and repair; as well as easier to manipulate.
