  • Publication number: 20140169955
Abstract: A tilting-segment radial bearing for a single-shaft turbomachine is provided, having a support ring, a tilting-segment mounting and a tilting segment, which in the installed state of the tilting-segment radial bearing is supported on the support ring such as to be seated on top and be radially displaceable by the tilting-segment mounting. The mounting has a preload device, by means of which the tilting segment is preloaded in the direction toward the shaft of the single-shaft turbomachine when the operating rotational speed of the single-shaft turbomachine is above a predetermined tilting-segment preload rotational speed, such that the tilting segment can be radially moved without preload when the operating rotational speed of the single-shaft turbomachine is below the tilting-segment preload rotational speed.

  • Patent number: 7635147
Abstract: An airbag module for a motor vehicle, including a cover. The airbag may be deployed through an openable region of the cover into the outside space of the airbag module. When the airbag is inflated, the outflow orifice is arranged in the inside space of the airbag module such that gas emerging from the first outflow orifice passes through the openable region of the cover. The gas generator includes at least one gas outlet orifice fluidly connected to the airbag. The airbag module further includes a second openable outflow orifice, which is formed on a chamber surrounding the gas generator and is in fluid communication with the gas outlet orifice of the gas generator so that the gas flowing out through the gas outlet orifice is conducted at least partially into the outside space.
