  • Publication number: 20240109076
Abstract: Subject matter of the invention is a cutting ring for solids-loaded fluid of a pump, comprising a cutting ring base body forming an opening for cooperation with a cutting head, which cutting ring can be stationarily connected to the pump in an axial extension of an impeller of the pump, wherein a plurality of cutting teeth comprising respectively at least outer cutting edges oriented away from the impeller in the direction of a suction side of the pump are provided at the cutting ring base body around the opening, wherein the cutting teeth extend axially away from the cutting ring base body outwardly at least in the direction of the suction side, and at least in the outwardly extending cutting teeth a respective radially outwardly extending material recess is formed, and/or a radially outwardly extending axial depression is formed in the cutting ring base body in a valley between two at least outwardly extending cutting teeth.

  • Publication number: 20150152869
Abstract: A grinder pump has a housing having a bottom wall formed with an intake port, a drive shaft rotatable in the housing about an axis and projecting axially through the bottom wall, and a pump in the housing having a rotor connected to the shaft and operable to draw liquids and comminuted solids in through the port. A cutter head outside the housing at the bottom wall carries a blade juxtaposed with the bottom wall. The cutter head is fixed on and rotatable with the shaft for comminuting solids drawn into the intake port. An annular shield wall projects axially from the bottom wall around the cutter head and is formed with at least one axially projecting bump forming a valley constituting an intake opening through which liquid and solids can be drawn to the intake port by the pump.
