Abstract: Methods for detecting HAV in a biological sample are provided, comprising amplifying a target nucleic acid comprising the sequence of HAV in a reaction mixture. The reaction mixture comprises a biological sample which may contain the target nucleic acid and set of oligonucleotides. The invention also provides kits for the detection of HAV.

Abstract: A braking system for vehicles having a master cylinder, and at least one braking device. The master cylinder may be provided with a first and a second output circuit, containing respectively a first and second brake fluid. The first output circuit may be fluidically connected to a braking simulator and the second output circuit may be fluidically connected to the at least one braking device for its actuation. An automatic hydraulic actuation unit operatively connected to the master cylinder by a hydraulic actuation circuit traversed by an actuation fluid distinct from the first and second brake fluid may be provided. A processing and control unit of the system that supervises the operation of the braking systems may also be provided.

Abstract: A method for controlling at least one driver interaction system. The method includes reading-in data regarding at least one body part of a driver of the vehicle and an interaction signal which represents a detected interaction of the driver, including at least one operating unit for operating a driving function of the vehicle. The method also includes carrying-out a classification of the interaction of the driver as purposeful or incidental by utilizing the data. Moreover, the method includes generating a control signal for controlling at least one driver interaction system as a function of a result of the classification.

Abstract: Multi-aperture imaging device includes at least one image sensor, an array of juxtaposed optical channels, wherein each optical channel has optics for projecting at least one partial area of an object area on an image sensor area of the image sensor, and a beam deflector for deflecting an optical path of the optical channels in beam-deflecting areas of the beam deflector. The beam deflector is formed as an array of facets arranged along a line-extension direction of the array of optical channels. One facet is allocated to each optical channel. Each facet has a beam-deflecting area. A stray light suppressing structure is arranged between a first beam-deflecting area of a first facet and a second beam-deflecting area of a juxtaposed second facet, which is configured to reduce transition of stray light between the first beam-deflecting area and the second beam-deflecting area.

Abstract: This invention provides an integrated time-of-flight sensor that delivers distance information to a processor associated with the camera assembly and vision system. The distance is processed with the above-described feedback control, to auto-focus the camera assembly's variable lens during runtime operation based on the particular size/shape object(s) within the field of view. The shortest measured distance is used to set the focus distance of the lens. To correct for calibration or drift errors, a further image-based focus optimization can occur around the measured distance and/or based on the measured temperature.
