  • Publication number: 20250153599
Abstract: The described technology is generally directed towards implementation of an electric vehicle (EV) as an energy generator for a vehicle to grid (V2G) power discharge operation. Energy available at a battery onboard the EV can be discharged to an electrical grid operated by a distribution system operator (DSO), e.g., via an electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE)/wallbox. Distribution system operator identifiers (DSOIDs) can be utilized to ensure the EV is configured to perform a V2G operation with the DSO, e.g., the EV has a DSOID matching the DSO's DSOID. Communication between the EV and the DSO can be in accord with ISO 15118-2, ISO 15118-20, etc. The DSOIDs can be an ENTSO-E EIC code, or a local unique identifier code.

  • Patent number: 12296713
Abstract: A battery system that, based upon the state of charge (SOC), state of health (SOH), and discharge profile of a battery module, or removable cells of the battery module, apprises the user of optimal or allowable storage temperature and time before the charge and range of a fully charged battery module or removable cell is degraded. In the event that this optimal or allowable storage temperature or time is deviated from or exceeded, the battery system recalculates the necessary charging power and time to meet the original range calculation and satisfy original trip requirements. This may be utilized for cells stored both in the vehicle and cells stored remote from the vehicle.
