  • Publication number: 20240008963
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for producing dental milling blanks, wherein inorganic filler powders are in a first step surface-coated with a silane and wherein in a second step a polymerizable composition is adsorbed on the silanized surface. Subsequent compression and polymerization affords a homogeneous milling blank having very good mechanical properties.

  • Patent number: 9913699
Abstract: In order to develop mixing and application capsules known from the prior art, so that limitations regarding the dental preparations that can be obtained are overcome, a mixing capsule (22) for producing a dental preparation is proposed in which the mixing capsule (22) has: a capsule body (1) having a mixing chamber for receiving a mixing component and for mixing the dental preparation from the mixing component, a first fluid and a second fluid and having an outlet opening (4) for expelling the dental preparation, a first cavity for receiving the first fluid, a first piston body (2) which delimits the mixing chamber in the capsule body (1) and which has a first passageway for guiding the first fluid from the first cavity into the mixing chamber, a second cavity for receiving the second fluid and a second piston body (2) which delimits the mixing chamber in the capsule body (1) and which has a second passageway for guiding the second fluid from the second cavity into the mixing chamber.

  • Publication number: 20170000585
Abstract: The invention concerns a storage and mixing device for producing a dental preparation comprising two, three or more mixing components, wherein the storage and mixing device has an individual chamber or two or more chambers which are separated from each other in a storage condition and which contain the mixing components, and an actuator moveable from a storage position for maintaining the storage condition of the storage and mixing device into a reaction position for bringing the mixing components together. In accordance with the invention it is proposed that a first and a second mixing component and optionally one or more further mixing components are already accommodated in the individual chamber or a first chamber of the plurality of chambers when the actuator is still in the storage position.

  • Patent number: 9320682
Abstract: There are described tooth filling materials and dental varnishes for inhibiting the biofilm formation of Streptococcus mutans containing (a) a quantity of an active substance for inhibiting the biofilm formation, (b) a material for forming a structure for the uptake and delayed release of the active substance and (c) a filling material system. Another aspect of this invention relates to a method for producing tooth filling materials or dental varnishes according to the invention for inhibiting the biofilm formation of Streptococcus mutans. The present invention also relates to a kit comprising tooth filling materials or dental varnishes according to the invention and one or more additional constituents. There are also described methods for inhibiting the biofilm formation of Streptococcus mutans, methods for producing a dental component which inhibits the biofilm formation and the use of the active substance for producing a dental material.

  • Patent number: 8979535
Abstract: A method for infiltration and/or sealing of hard tooth tissue and for detection of caries in the infiltrated region or under the seal by means of fluorescence, is described. The method includes applying a composition comprising a filler system consisting of or comprising inorganic filler particles surface-modified by means of organic structural elements, wherein the organic structural elements can be reacted with an organic binder system to form covalent bonds, wherein the filler particles of the composition have an average particle size in the range between 1 nm and 150 nm, and an organic binder system comprising one or more polymerizable monomers, wherein the filler system is dispersed in the organic binder system (b). The infiltrated or sealed surface of the hard tooth tissue is then irradiated with excitation radiation which causes emission of fluorescence radiation. The fluorescence radiation data is recorded and used to detect curies.
