Abstract: Topical compositions for treating hair are presented. The compositions comprise functionalized silicones having defined physicochemical properties that exhibit superior conditioning duability on hair than previously known silicone based conditioners, especially where the hair has been previously damaged through chemical treatments, such as occurs during permanent dyeing, bleaching and permanent waving.

Abstract: The present invention relates to hair colouring and or hair bleaching compositions comprising at least one oxidizing agent and a specified worm-like micelle phase thickening system. The compositions surprisingly provide improved hair colourant and bleaching compositions which deliver improved lift, lightening and colour delivery whilst minimizing damage which are easy to manufacture and have long shelf life stability.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of hair care. More specifically, the present invention relates to the conditioning of hair after it has been oxidised in a coloring, bleaching or perming treatment. Superior conditioning is obtained by providing a cationic polymer to the hair while it is subjected to the oxidising treatment, and then the oxidised hair is subjected to a conditioning treatment with a composition comprising a functionalized silicone.
