  • Patent number: 12054056
Abstract: An electrically driven vehicle contains a current collector for supplying electrical energy from a bipolar overhead line system. The collector has an articulated support rod, which bears, on the contact wire side, a contact collector having a contact strip, and which is coupled, on the vehicle side, to a lift drive for positioning the support rod and for pressing the contact collector to a contact wire of the overhead wire system, a detection device for detecting a lateral position of a contact point of the contact wire on the contact strip and a driver assistance system for executing an automatic steering intervention as a function of the detected lateral position of the contact point. The vehicle has increased availability for a feed of electrical energy from the overhead line system in that the contact strip is supported on the contact collector via at least two spring elements.

  • Patent number: 9238411
Abstract: A non-rail-bound vehicle, truck or bus, includes a current collector feeding electrical energy from an overhead line installation having a contact wire. The collector has a contact strip with a working region contacting the contact wire. An actuating device coupled to the collector adjusts the contact strip. The contact strip is horizontal and adjustable transversely to a vehicle longitudinal axis. A sensor senses the position of the vehicle relative to the contact wire. A control device connected to the sensor and the actuating device actuates the actuating device based on the sensed vehicle position, so that the contact strip maintains contact with the contact wire within its working range. The vehicle thus reliably maintains contact with the contact wire through the collector during operation on multilane roadways with an at least partially electrified lane, even at relatively high speeds of, for example, 80 to 100 km/h.

  • Publication number: 20140110205
Abstract: A non-rail-bound vehicle, in particular a truck or bus, includes a current collector for feeding in electrical energy from a two-pole overhead line, the forward conductors and return conductors of which can each be contacted by a contact shoe of the current collector. The current collector has two support struts, which are rotatably articulated on the vehicle in such a way that they can pivot transversely to a longitudinal axis of the vehicle while guided in a common pivot plane. The support struts are connected in an articulated manner to a rocker carrying the contact shoes. In this way, the current collector can be safely connected to or disconnected from a contact wire during operation of the vehicle on multilane roadways having an electrified lane at least in sections, even at higher driving speeds, and can reliably maintain contact with the contact wire.

  • Publication number: 20110127323
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for transporting a plurality of articles, particularly, mail items. For each article a measurement is taken regarding what value a prescribed feature and what value a prescribed transportation attribute assume for the article. A data record for this article with the measured transportation attribute value and the measured feature value is produced. This data record is stored in a mobile data memory of a means of a transport. The articles are put into the means of transport and transported in the means of transport to an intermediate point. Following this transportation, for each article another measurement is taken regarding what value the feature assumes for this article. The mobile data memory is searched for that data record for the article for which the feature value ascertained during the fresh measurement is used. Further transportation of the article is initiated on the basis of the transportation attribute value of the ascertained data record.
