Abstract: A system for investment entity management is disclosed. In a first embodiment, at least one database is configured to store: an electronic representation of a portfolio operating company including detailed ownership records; an electronic representation of an investment fund entity for investing in one or more portfolio operating companies, including an ownership amount reflecting an ownership stake held by the investment fund entity in the portfolio operating company; and, an electronic representation of a portfolio investment entity, including operational and legal data about the portfolio investment entity for performing logical operations thereon, and an association with the electronic representation of the investment fund entity. The electronic representation of an investment fund entity may include detailed investment records corresponding to individual investments made by the investment fund entity in the portfolio operating company.
