  • Publication number: 20050080649
Abstract: Systems and methods automate data entry and processing. Data is automatically entered into a system by reading a user identification card. The data can be supplemented with additional information, if necessary, and processed by the system. In one embodiment, the data is used to register an employee for an employee benefit program offered by a provider such as an insurance carrier. The data read from the identification card is automatically entered into an electronic enrollment form where the user can check it. Documentation corresponding to the enrollment form can be converted to an electronic copy, if necessary, and attached to the enrollment form. Once the enrollment form is complete, the user can electronically sign the enrollment form and send it through a computer network to the provider. The provider may then process the enrollment form, request additional information or corrections from the user, and register the user for the products or services.

  • Patent number: 6394271
Abstract: An anti-rotational system which restrains containers therein from rotating and contacting adjacent containers so as not to abrade the outer surface of the containers features an exterior box having at least one wall having a height at least as great as a height of the containers and a bottom structure. Furthermore, a plurality of pockets are formed within the exterior box structure. Each pocket has a rigid portion and an elastic portion. The rigid portion engages a maximum diameter of the container. The elastic portion flexes so as to allow the maximum diameter region of the container to pass thereby. Once the maximum diameter region of the container has passed by the elastic region, the elastic characteristics of the elastic region allows the elastic region to flex back towards its original position thus ensuring that the elastic portion contacts a smaller diameter of the container.

  • Patent number: 6252350
Abstract: A surface mount LED is installed in an incandescent lamp housing. A printed circuit board is used to support the surface mount LED. The printed circuit board has a first conductive path having one end connected to a first terminal and a second conductive path having one end connected to a second terminal. The surface mount LED is installed on the printed circuit board with the anode mounted on the first conductive path and the cathode mounted on the second conductive path. A lamp housing with electrical contacts is used to deliver power to the surface mount LED through the terminals on the printed circuit board. Variations in optical performance can be achieved by combining surface mount LEDs with non-surface mount LEDs.

  • Patent number: 6052757
Abstract: A content-addressable, first-in/first-out memory (CAM-FIFO), as used to provide a read-modify-write buffer for data between two processes, includes: a Content Addressable Memory (CAM) which stores flag data; a FIFO memory portion for providing data storage; a write/read address counting section for providing write/read addresses of data to be stored in/read from the FIFO; and logic to determine and is used to query data on the queue to determine if the FIFO data should still be sent to the receiving process, or replaced with at least part of the flag data.

  • Patent number: 6041927
Abstract: An anti-rotational system which restrains containers therein from rotating and contacting adjacent containers so as not to abrade the outer surface of the containers features an exterior box having at least one wall having a height at least as great as a height of the containers. Furthermore, longitudinal ribs connect to the walls and to the bottom structure of the exterior box to form an elastic portion. The longitudinal ribs form sets of ribs which contact a diameter of the container which is smaller than a maximum diameter of the container so as to secure the position of the container. The longitudinal ribs flex so as to allow the maximum diameter region of the container to pass thereby. Once the maximum diameter region of the container has passed by the longitudinal ribs, the elastic characteristics of the longitudinal ribs allow the longitudinal ribs to flex back towards their original position thus ensuring that the longitudinal ribs contact the smaller diameter of the container.
