  • Publication number: 20140039092
Abstract: The present invention relates to the application of polymeric resins and TiO2 doped with polymeric resins as coatings for external metal surfaces for industrial use, by selecting the following metals: stainless steel, carbon steel and copper. Focuses specifically on the synthesis of a polymeric resin waterborne corrosion consisting of nano-structured polymer particles formed with two or more acrylic monomers, vinyl or styrenic a functionalizing agent and a crosslinking agent from 1.0 to 20% w each. Doping addition is made of the same polymeric resins, which are incorporated in nanotubes of titanium dioxide in concentrations ranging from 50 to 10,000 ppm. The polymeric resin is water based corrosion synthesized by emulsion polymerization techniques and is during the synthesis process is introduced nanotube loading of titanium dioxide, which allowing the dispersion in the polymer matrix. Polymer dispersions obtained in this way are used as anti-corrosion coatings 100% water based.

  • Publication number: 20130287321
Abstract: The subject matter of the invention is a container with flexible wails. The container includes an opening provided with means for keeping it open, said means having two flexible elongate elements connected at their ends by a first articulation and a second articulation. The first and second articulations are configured to bring the two flexible elongate elements one against the other in a first configuration and to separate the two flexible elongate elements in a second configuration. In the second configuration, the two flexible elongate elements are turned over on themselves with respect to the first configuration. The two flexible elongate elements are at least partially formed from a flexible band, and the first articulation includes a cut in a pail of the thickness of the band, said cut being oriented towards the outside of the container in the first configuration.

  • Publication number: 20080092659
Abstract: Scanning probe microscopes include a probe tip coupled to a tuning fork or other acoustic resonator so as to apply a shear force when contacted to a specimen surface based on an applied acoustic signal. A secondary ultrasonic transducer is in acoustic communication with the specimen and a resonant structure. Probe tip-specimen displacement can be detected based on whispering gallery mode ultrasonic waves in the resonant structure using the secondary transducer, and such displacements maintained using feedback control based on whispering gallery mode acoustic wave magnitude.

  • Publication number: 20060288786
Abstract: Scanning probe microscopes include a probe tip coupled to a tuning fork or other acoustic resonator so as to apply a shear force when contacted to a specimen surface based on an applied acoustic signal. A secondary ultrasonic transducer is in acoustic communication with the specimen. The probe tip and the secondary ultrasonic transducer are acoustically coupled when the probe tip is in proximity to a specimen surface. Changes in resonance frequency, admittance, or other characteristic of acoustic signals coupled to the probe tip or a secondary ultrasonic transducer secured to either the specimen or the probe tip can be used in specimen imaging or to estimate probe tip placement respect to a specimen surface.
