  • Patent number: 9832206
Abstract: A system and method for authenticating and continuously verifying authorized users of a digital device includes an authentication device attached to an arm or wrist of authorized users. The authentication device has an accelerometer, digital radio, a processor configured to provide identity information over the radio, and to transmit motion data. The motion data is received by the digital device and the identity transmitted is verified as an identity associated with an authorized user. Input at a touchscreen, touchpad, mouse, trackball, or keyboard of the digital device is detected, and correlated with the motion data. Access to the digital device is allowed if the detected input and the detected motion data correlate, and disallowed otherwise.

  • Patent number: 9430673
Abstract: A processing device in one embodiment comprises a processor coupled to a memory and is configured to detect at least one subject in a captured image, to provide a notification to the subject regarding the captured image, and to permit the subject to consent to a particular use of the captured image by another party. The providing of the notification is controlled based on at least one of a notification threshold and an automatic consent condition. Additionally or alternatively, at least portions of the captured image are provided to the subject for review only under certain conditions, such as upon receipt of a verification that a subject device associated with the subject was sufficiently near a location at which the image was captured at a time at which the image was captured, or responsive to a result of a comparison of the captured image to known information characterizing the subject.

  • Patent number: 8393579
Abstract: System (10) for disconnecting the nozzle (1) of a boom from a receptacle (2) to which the nozzle (1) is connected for fuel transfer, comprising latches (3) which are situated in the nozzle (1) and engage with latch-pins (5) arranged in the said receptacle (2), characterized in that the system (10) comprises a receptacle disconnection system (20) which operates the latch-pins (5) of the receptacle (2) and a nozzle disconnection system (30) which operates the latches (3) of the nozzle (1) such that, when an operator performs normal disconnection of the nozzle (1), the system (10) sends a first signal (21) to the receptacle (2) so that its latch-pins (5) are retracted in order to release the latches (3) of the nozzle (1) and, in parallel, sends a second signal (31) to the nozzle (1) so that the latches (3) of the nozzle (1) are retracted and release the said nozzle (1).

  • Publication number: 20100210846
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for preparing 2-(2-pyridylmethyl)sulphinyl-1H-benzimidazoles that are proton pump inhibitors, using as intermediates 2-benzimidazolyl-sulphinic acid derivatives. The present invention also relates to the intermediate compounds, their use and a process for the preparation thereof. These novel intermediate compounds are 2-benzimidazolylsulphinicacid esters that are obtained from their corresponding alkaline salts, which are in turn obtained by oxidation of substituted 2-mercaptobenzimidazoles. The intermediate compounds of the invention are converted into 2-(2-pyridylmethyl)sulphinyl-1H-benzimidazoles by reaction with substituted 2-methylpyridines.

  • Publication number: 20090326062
Abstract: The present invention relates to a new method for obtaining Entacapone substantially free of Z-isomer from 3,4-dihydroxy-5-Nitrobenzaldehyde and N,N-Dimethylcyanoacetamide, or directly from a mixture of (E)- and (Z)-isomers of Entacapone, by formation of organic or inorganic salts, specially piperidine and sodium ones. A new crystalline form G of Entacapone can be obtained from this method in a fast, efficient, and simple way and substantially free of Z-isomer. Another object of the invention is a pharmaceutical composition comprising it.
