Patent number: 11553698Abstract: A system of fattening for molluscs having supporting frames with first coupling members for the uprights that make up components and, carriers of the breeding compartments, and second coupling members on the flotation tubes of a moveable platform. The members and the uprights have aligned openings and that are actuated by removable coupling devices allowing the uprights to be attached or uncoupled. A crossbar, with an arrangement of connectors, keeps the components and provides an easily handled module that can be separated from the supporting frame along with the breeding compartments.Type: GrantFiled: December 19, 2018Date of Patent: January 17, 2023Inventor: Andres Quinta Cortinas

Patent number: 10549822Abstract: A floating structure and method for obtaining same. The structure includes a first plurality of tubes and a second plurality of tubes. The second plurality of tubes are inserted into the first plurality of tubes to extend through the upper portion of same, and both sets of tubes are welded together. The ends of the tubes of the first plurality of tubes are closed in order to be used as flotation tanks when the floating structure is fitted out for such use. The method concerns locking the first plurality of tubes in place on the frame, with pairs of holes in each of the first plurality of tubes being aligned, and a corresponding tube of the second plurality of tubes being inserted through each pair of aligned holes by force. Each of the connection portions or parts contained in the tubes are welded on the periphery of the holes.Type: GrantFiled: October 16, 2017Date of Patent: February 4, 2020Assignee: ESPANOLA DE PLATAFORMAS MARINAS, S.L.Inventor: Andres Quinta Cortinas

Patent number: 8920061Abstract: The coupling includes first gripping members which are connected, facing on one and the same level on corresponding mounting bodies, to respective structures, and second gripping members mounted so as to slide vertically on the first gripping members in order to secure pneumatic covers in two diametrically opposed regions thereof with the collaboration of threaded rods. The gripping members and provide retention walls that extend towards the mounting bodies by means of horizontal retention flanges. The second gripping members have walls with holes for the passage of screws during fitting thereof to the mounting bodies.Type: GrantFiled: March 8, 2012Date of Patent: December 30, 2014Assignee: Espanola de Plataformas Marinas, S.L.Inventor: Andres Quinta Cortinas

Publication number: 20100192868Abstract: A submersible farm is described including a self-supporting frame which can be submerged and maintained at a selected depth. The submersible farm further includes a first radial structure having lattice-forming beams which are placed edgeways in order to support a second structure which bears culture ropes and is disposed horizontally below the first structure. The first structure includes a float which extends partially along the periphery thereof and which includes at least a peripheral inlet and outlet for the culture ropes leading to a berth. The berth is fixed to the first radial structure. The frame is supported by a counterweighted flotation column which is disposed at the center of both the first and second structures and which includes a float which extends downward into a counterweighted tube having a stabilizing system suspended therefrom.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 8, 2006Publication date: August 5, 2010Inventors: Andres Quinta Cortiñas, Eladio Diaz Arbones

Patent number: 7650856Abstract: The invention relates to an improved submersible mollusc farm consisting of a self-supporting frame which is formed with an “H” plan floating structure comprising beams with support arms for the culture ropes. According to the invention, the structure moves vertically under the effect of tides or the weight of the culture product and is guided by means of surface floats which are equipped with a guide tube comprising slide stop elements between which the structure can slide.Type: GrantFiled: July 29, 2005Date of Patent: January 26, 2010Inventors: Andres Quinta Cortiñas, Eladio Diaz Arbones

Patent number: 7341021Abstract: An improved submersible mollusc farm is disclosed. A line of cables bearing the culture ropes and the cylindrical buoys which maintain the line horizontal is suspended from end floats. The end floats include a filling/emptying system using water by way of ballast, in order to raise or submerge the line by inflating the end floats with air. Submerged tension buoys are connected to the end floats by tension cables and pulleys which are fixed to the dead weights provided at either end of the line. The vertical thrust of the tension buoys causes the pulley to stretch the cable and tauten the line.Type: GrantFiled: June 26, 2003Date of Patent: March 11, 2008Inventors: Andres Quinta Cortiñas, Eladio Diaz Arbones
