Patent number: 11964663Abstract: Determining an instantaneous vehicle characteristic (e.g., at least one yaw rate) of an additional vehicle that is in addition to a vehicle being autonomously controlled, and adapting autonomous control of the vehicle based on the determined instantaneous vehicle characteristic of the additional vehicle. For example, autonomous steering, acceleration, and/or deceleration of the vehicle can be adapted based on a determined instantaneous vehicle characteristic of the additional vehicle. In many implementations, the instantaneous vehicle characteristics of the additional vehicle are determined based on data from a phase coherent Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR) component of the vehicle, such as a phase coherent LIDAR monopulse component and/or a frequency-modulated continuous wave (FMCW) LIDAR component.Type: GrantFiled: April 11, 2023Date of Patent: April 23, 2024Assignee: AURORA OPERATIONS, INC.Inventors: Warren Smith, Ethan Eade, Sterling J. Patent number: 11962617Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to a system, method, or computer program product for cross-channel network security with tiered adaptive mitigation operations. In this regard, the invention is structured for dynamic detection of security events associated with network devices and resources, and triggering real-time mitigation operations across a plurality of resource channels. The invention provides a novel method for employing activity data to construct and implement mitigation actions for de-escalating authorization tiers that are adapted to the specific attributes of the activity data, in order to prevent security exposure associated with the activity. Another aspect of the invention is directed to determining whether to continue the tiered adaptive mitigation actions and/or trigger a security proceed signal.Type: GrantFiled: March 3, 2021Date of Patent: April 16, 2024Assignee: BANK OF AMERICA CORPORATIONInventors: Michael Joseph Carroll, Jeffrey Brian Bashore, Joel Filliben, Andrew DongHo Kim, Akhilendra Reddy Kotha, Pavan Kumar Reddy Kotlo, Ronnie Joe Morris, Jr., Dharmender Kumar Satija, Michael Shih, Scott Anderson Sims, Craig D. Publication number: 20240102471Abstract: One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for a universal-type bracket that incorporates a substantially uniform diameter through-bore. This allows the bracket to accept current sealing arrangements used in these types of pumps, while providing the same or better sealing options as current individual designs. The single through-bore can have multiple undercut features for holding a pump shaft bushing, with an increased wall thickness to allow for an appropriate interference fit with the walls of the through-bore, for example, similar to previous designs. Retaining ring grooves can be added to the through-bore, and retaining rings may be used to provide a positive shoulder for the seal or packing rings to seat against inside the bore. This may allow for various sealing options, such as stuffing seals, one-piece barrier seals, cartridge seals, BTR seals, component seals, and more.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 22, 2023Publication date: March 28, 2024Applicant: Viking Pump, Inc.Inventors: Justin PIERCE, Andrew ANDERSON, Alfonso JOHNSON, Dylan LENDE, Scott MEYER

Publication number: 20240102783Abstract: A tool, such as a tape measure, including a spring-based retraction system is shown. Various spring-based retraction system embodiments are configured to decrease the size occupied by the spring within the tape measure housing, which consequently reduces tape measure housing size providing a more compact tape measure. Various spring-based retraction system embodiments are configured to control retraction of the tape measure in a manner that reduces whip or otherwise controls tape blade retraction. Some retraction system embodiments utilize a reduction gear train, and others utilize a compression spring and a transmission system that converts rotational movement of the tape reel to axial movement, which compresses the spring.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 5, 2023Publication date: March 28, 2024Inventors: Collin J. Publication number: 20240102481Abstract: One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for an improved barrier seal for use on a rotating shaft of a pump to mitigate leakage of fluids along the shaft. The body of the barrier seal may comprise a one-piece combined bushing and seal that can be selectably fastened to the pump bracket. Internal and external channels in the body can operably hold gaskets, internally dynamic seals, and externally static seals, inside the stuffing box of the pump bracket. A lubricant port can be disposed on a flange of the seal portion to provide lubricant to the interior of the barrier seal, which can also be fluidly coupled with the outside of the seal. A pressurized lubricating fluid can also help mitigate leakage of pumped fluid by pressurizing between static gaskets on the outside, and provide lubrication for the rotating shaft on the inside of the seal.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 28, 2023Publication date: March 28, 2024Applicant: Viking Pump, Inc.Inventors: Andrew Anderson, Scott Meyer, Alfonso Johnson
