    Abstract: A closed-loop method for the continuous production of biochar and nutrients. High-moisture content feedstock and black soldier flies are placed within a breeding room to produce young black soldier fly larvae (BSFL). High-moisture content feedstock and a first portion of the young BSFL are placed within a growing room to produce leachate, mature BSFL, and frass. The mature BSFL can be separated from the frass and processed to produce dried BSFL, BSFL oil, BSFL meal, BSFL puree, or a combination thereof. A first portion of the frass undergoes pyrolysis to produce biochar and heat. The biochar can be utilized within the feedstock, to produce a frass end product, as a biochar end product, or a combination thereof. The heat can be utilized in the at least one breeding room, in the at least one growing room, to process the frass, or a combination thereof.

    Abstract: A refrigerator appliance or ice making assembly may include an ice mold, a heat exchanger, a lifter arm, and a cam shaft. The ice mold may define a mold cavity for receiving water. The heat exchanger may be in thermal communication with the ice mold to freeze the water and form one or more ice cubes therein. The lifter arm may be disposed below the ice mold and movable relative to the mold cavity along a channel path between a lowered position and a raised position to raise ice cubes within the mold cavity. The cam shaft may include a rotating cam lobe slidably engaged with the lifter arm to direct the lifter arm between the lowered position and the raised position. The cam shaft may be rotatable about a cam axis horizontally offset from the channel path.

    Abstract: A child restraint system is provided. The child restraint system includes a seat, a headrest, a first sidewall, a second sidewall, and a plurality of internal side impact surfaces including at least a first internal side impact surface that is provide at the first sidewall and a second internal side impact surface that is provided at the second sidewall. In embodiments, four internal side impact surfaces may be provided as well. A pocket is formed in the area between the internal side impact surfaces and respective sidewalls. In this manner, as a child moved towards a sidewall during a crash event, the elbow or entire arm of the child falls into the pocket and the internal side impact surfaces mitigate the movement of the hips and/or shoulders of the child. This reduces the compression of the child's arm against the sidewall, consequentially reducing the compression on the child's chest.

A document management system can decode the identifying information to verify that a document accessed via a URL was accessed by a trusted entity rather than by an unknown user. The document management system sends a message including a URL to access a document. When a message scanning system known to the document management system reviews the message for threats, it encodes its identity into a modified form of the URL in the message and uses the modified URL to access the resource. The document management system can decode the identity of the messaging system using a decoding key. Based on the identification, the document management system updates records associated with the document to include the document acce by the message scanning system.
