  • Publication number: 20070243495
Abstract: An electronic gas control apparatus including a variable flow valve, an igniter, a flame sensor, and an electronic controller is provided. The valve has a flow range that equals or exceeds a required flow range for any one of the types of gas suitably combusted by the burner. The electronic controller is operably coupled to each of the valve, the igniter, and the sensor. The electronic controller is configured to activate the igniter, to receive a flame status signal from the sensor, and to recognize a position of the valve when the flame status signal indicates a flame at the burner. As such, the electronic controller is calibrated for the gas, line-pressure, jet and burner configuration being used.

  • Publication number: 20070185582
Abstract: A wrist arthroplasty system comprising a carpal implant for resurfacing carpal bones that is at least substantially arcuate in shape from a first end to a second end. The carpal implant includes a first carpal engaging surface, a second carpal engaging surface, a first carpal articulating surface, and a second carpal articulating surface. The first carpal engaging surface has an arcuate concave shape that at least substantially corresponds to a natural shape of a scaphoid bone. The second carpal engaging surface at least substantially corresponds to a natural shape of a lunate bone. The first carpal articulating surface is opposite to the first carpal engaging surface. The first carpal articulating surface has an arcuate convex shape. The second carpal articulating surface is opposite to the second carpal engaging surface.

  • Publication number: 20070055381
Abstract: A prosthetic wrist can replace a portion of an anatomical wrist. A bone replacing portion can be provided that also includes an augment member to assist in fixation of the bone portion or the prosthesis to the bone. The various prosthesis embodiments can allow for a hemi- or total, or revision wrist arthroplasty. Modular portions can allow for intraopertative customization.

  • Publication number: 20060278285
Abstract: A fluid valve has a housing having an inlet port and an outlet port. A fluid flow path extends between the inlet port and the outlet port. A valve member is located in the housing in the fluid flow path. The valve member is moveable among a series of positions. The valve member and the housing have a plurality of apertures arranged such that a varied selection of the apertures is in the fluid flow path according to the indexed position of the valve member. In at least one indexed position of the valve member no apertures are in the flow path.

  • Patent number: 7097321
Abstract: The present invention is an improved earpiece light. In particular, the present invention is directed to an earpiece having a power supply and a light source mounted on the earpiece. The earpiece light is preferably for use on a person's outer ear. The earpiece light comprises an ear support, preferably for placement behind the user's crest of helix. The ear support is attached to a power supply housing, preferably for placement over the user's external auditory canal. The power supply housing has a power supply and a lamp arm with a distal end extended from the power supply housing. The power supply is connected to a light source mounted on the distal end of the lamp arm. Preferably, the lamp arm is positioned below the ear support and the power supply is connected to a light source, preferably an LED, mounted on the lamp arm.

  • Publication number: 20060044116
Abstract: The present invention is an improved key holder. In particular, the present invention is directed to a key holder with a plurality of lights for illuminating and identifying keys or key rings attached to the key holder. A preferred embodiment of the key holder comprises a circular hub containing a battery. Preferably, multiple key rings are mounted around the hub and project radially. Indicator lights of differing colors are mounted on the hub in alignment with a corresponding key ring and connected to the battery. A light is mounted on the edge of the hub, preferably an LED. A switch is mounted at the hub's center and connected to the power source, the light source and the indicator lights. The switch has different activation positions including a first activation position that activates the light source and a second activation position that activates at least one of the indicator lights.

  • Publication number: 20060036330
Abstract: A prosthetic wrist having at least one of a radial insert, which is configured to be fixed to a radius of a patient, a carpal implant or a wrist bearing component. The carpal implant can include a body and a pair of flanges, each of which being skewed to the axis of the body in a manner that permits them to abut the ulnar side of the hamate bone and the radial side of the distal portion of the carpal bone complex, respectively. The radial insert may be provided with a plurality of modular portions to allow for selection and customization of an implant. Also the various portions can allow for a hemi- or total, or revision wrist arthroplasty. The modular portions can allow for intraopertative customization.
