Abstract: A method for providing one or more shared-ownership lottery plays using a computer system is provided. Information regarding lottery plays or pools of plays available for shared ownership for a selected game and drawing date is stored A request is received for a shared-ownership lottery play or pool for the selected game and drawing date. The stored information is used to issue an interest in a shared-ownership lottery play or pool in response to the request. Each of the issued shared-ownership lottery plays or pools is selected from the one or more lottery plays or pools available for shared ownership. The ownership of each issued shared-lottery play or pool is assigned an ownership percentage increment of less than 100 percent. A ticket or other receipt represents an ownership percentage in the shared-ownership lottery play or pool equal to the assigned ownership percentage increment.

Abstract: A system for providing direct marketing opportunities to lottery ticket retailers includes a host computer system programmed to maintain a website including separate webpages for lottery ticket retailers. The computer system stores address information for the lottery ticket retailers, receives a lottery website visitor's geographic location information and determines one or more local lottery ticket retailers located within a selected distance of the visitor's geographic location. In response to the lottery website visitor's selection of one of the local lottery ticket retailers, the system serves the webpage of the selected lottery ticket retailer for the visitor to view. The webpage of the selected lottery retailer includes promotions for a non-lottery product offered by the selected lottery ticket retailer. The lottery ticket retailers have access to webpage templates for creating their webpages.

Abstract: A system and method can provide subscription services for a lottery operated by a state lottery includes. The method includes: receiving a subscription application from a lottery player, wherein the subscription application includes player information and information for a subscription order to purchase at least one lottery ticket for at least one game selection over a plurality of subscription drawings, unless sooner terminated; receiving instructions for lottery ticket numbers for the subscription order; storing on a subscription computer system subscription information including the information from the subscription application, the information for the subscription order and the instructions for lottery ticket numbers; and collecting funds for paying for one or more tickets to be purchased from the state lottery operator based on the subscription order. The collected funds can be in an amount less than the amount required to purchase all of the lottery tickets for the plurality of subscription drawings.
