    Abstract: This is directed to an electronic device having an integrated sensor for detecting a user's cardiac activity and cardiac electrical signals. The electronic device can include a heart sensor having several leads for detecting a user's cardiac signals. The leads can be coupled to interior surfaces of the electronic device housing to hide the sensor from view, such that electrical signals generated by the user can be transmitted from the user's skin through the electronic device housing to the leads. In some embodiments, the leads can be coupled to pads placed on the exterior of the housing. The pads and housing can be finished to ensure that the pads are not visibly or haptically distinguishable on the device, thus improving the aesthetic qualities of the device.     Abstract: A counterbalance mechanism for height adjustable computer equipment supports and the like that includes a drive shaft mounted on an associated support for axial rotation. The drive shaft is operably connected with a worksurface to facilitate vertical adjustment of the same within a predetermined range. The counterbalance mechanism has a first energy storage device operably connected between the support and the drive shaft, which applies a first axial torque to the drive shaft in a first rotational direction. The first energy storage device is configured such that the first axial torque diminishes at a predetermined rate as the drive shaft rotates in the first rotational direction. A second energy storage device is operably connected between the support and the drive shaft, and applies a second axial torque to the drive shaft in a second rotational direction, opposite to the first rotational direction, thereby defining a resultant counterbalance force which facilitates vertical adjustment of the worksurface.

    Abstract: A glue applicator for storing and applying liquid glue. The applicator includes an elongated generally cylindrical body member, a rigid elongated inner core member positioned within the body member, a fibrous tip member, a liquid glue material contained within the body member, and a cap member for sealing the distal end of the body member. The body member includes a squeezable portion of generally elliptical transverse cross-section located adjacent a distal end portion thereof. The inner core member includes portions thereof that are in contact with an inner surface of the body member along the length thereof. The fibrous tip is received in an elongated cavity formed in a distal end portion of the inner core member. A plurality of openings formed through the inner core member permit the passage of liquid glue from the body member therethrough into the cavity so as to contact the fibrous tip member.
