  • Patent number: 11976309
Abstract: In some aspects, the present invention provides methods and compositions for modifying target sites within nucleic acid molecules. In some embodiments, the methods comprise using adenosine deaminases that act on RNA (ADARs), and variants thereof, to modify target sites within DNA-RNA hybrid molecules. In other aspects, ADAR2 variant polypeptides as well as fusion proteins comprising an ADAR catalytic domain and a hybrid nucleic acid binding domain are provided, as are methods for use thereof. Methods for preventing and treating genetic disorders are also provided herein.

  • Patent number: 11514153
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of registering a new user of an online system is disclosed. A base grid is created. The user provides a passcode that includes an indication of an ordered set of cells a grid. A grid salt, user identifying information, and a passcode identifier is generated. The passcode identifier is then split into at least three parts using a secret sharing algorithm wherein three of the parts are required to regenerate the passcode identifier. First and second parts are stored in first and second locations in an array and a third part is stored in a third location with user identifying information. The first and second parts are indexed using X-OTC and Y-OTC. A user token containing the position of the first and second parts in the array is passed to the user.

  • Publication number: 20200134167
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of registering a new user of an online system wherein the user provides a passcode, for example an ordered set of positions within a grid, user identifying information and a passcode identifier is generated, and the passcode identifier is then split into k parts using a secret sharing algorithm wherein q of the k parts are required to regenerate the passcode identifier. n of the k parts are then stored in a first location and q>n?1, m of the k parts are stored in a second location and q>m?1, p of the k parts are discarded and p?0, and the n parts and the m parts are stored with user identifying information.

  • Publication number: 20130321388
Abstract: A live event information reporting system is described. An apparatus may comprise a live event information reporting application operative on a processor circuit to provide user interfaces for reporting and viewing information reported for live events. The live event information reporting application may comprise a context information component operative to access context information associated with one or more live events; a reporting user interface component operative to display a live event reporting user interface, the live event reporting user interface configured to provide the context information and one or more event information elements corresponding to the one or more live events; and a live event information component operative to receive live event information associated with the one or more live events entered via the event information elements. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

  • Patent number: 7190686
Abstract: A network architecture that coordinates shared access to a wireless transmission medium while avoiding collisions between simultaneous transmissions even where network nodes cannot hear one another. There is also the capability of readily reconfiguring a wireless network to accommodate new nodes. In one embodiment, there is a hierarchy of master nodes that coordinate wireless transmissions by the other nodes. Since the need for retransmission is minimized, throughput is improved.
